That awkward moment when someone says the horse they ride is really "effing" hard when he's been rated as a 1 for beginner level by the riding management and is used in beginner lessons....hahahaha.

And hahah, I know! I don't do lessons anymore, though, since I have a horse at my 100 acre farm, and we're getting another horse, a Palamino colour. In a month!! xP He's a QH x Belgian cross or something. lol But he's sooo pretty. I'll try to get pictures up when we get him, and the same with Sadie. Wait....I think I can get a picture of Sadie, I just have to get one without me, because most of them have me right in the shot.

Gam Gam- thanks, it kinda was. I mean I understand if we were in somebody's way, or were not being safe around the horses (sanding close to there hoofs, putting out hands by their mouth) but we wern't.

dolphin- Glad your lesson was so much fun! My lessons are once a week too, but we get there 15 minutes before so we have the whole hour for riding. It's going to be really nice because Now my lessons are the last on of the day (7:30pm) so we won't have to rush as much. Before they were at 6:15pm and there was a class after, so we always had to stop right at 7:15.

I don't remember who mention about riding in the rain but here's my two cents- Last session we had a horrible rain storm. There was hail, horrible wind, lots of rain etc. But we still had class. We did ride in the covered arena thankfully. And it was the day of our evaluations. Captian was so good though <3 And he felt like velvet because we had to walk from his stall into the arena.

@Horse_girl123: Congratz on getting your first ever saddle! I remember how excited I was when I left the tack store with my first saddle <3 It looks like a very nice saddle too! Woah that is a really big tack store o.0 I got my saddle from a consignment shop and they had a huge basement and the walls were covered with saddles xD Did your trainer come too? Also did you make sure the saddle fits correctly? I am just curious because you never said anything about an instructor or trainer coming along to help make sure the saddle fits you properly ;D

That's great that you have already cleaned it up :3 It's smart that you bought a seat saver, I was considering doing that, but I have a saddle cover so I don't really need one now lol.

@gam gam: On the saddle topic, if you save your money for a while and ask your parents to help pay for some of the saddle you may actually be able to afford one ;D A used one that is, but I think it is better to buy a used one than a new one because then you don't have to worry about breaking it in and you can just go out there and ride :3 Some used saddles are still expensive, but that's because of the brand (Antares for example) of the saddle. You can find some pretty cheap and good used saddles out there so don't give up hope <3

That's the same with my lessons. The lesson starts when you get on your horse and begin warming up, and you get there early so you have enough time to groom and tack your horse. Then sometimes we go on trail rides after lessons or hacks, but you can only go if you have a group or someone else to go with you.

Yeah sadly shows around me are really expensive. It's probably because everything around me is expensive including lessons, leasing, boarding, ect. Not to brag at all, but I live in a semi-expensive area so everything just has to be more expensive than normal ;-; Wow that is great that shows are only $76 around you :3 The A and AA shows really hike the price up /:

@Bluebird: Thanks! I really had such a blast :3 Yeah same thing here, we get there 30 minutes before the lesson so we have time to groom and tack. If you don't take very long to groom and tack you can get there 15 minutes before the lesson. Luckily my trainer is very flexible so if you don't get on until 4:20 and your lesson starts at 4:00 you will ride until 5:20 (: If there is a lesson after me then the person is allowed to get on and warm up until my lesson is finished. That's awesome that you are the last lesson of the day so you don't hav to rush to tack and untack ;D

@Riding in the rain: Actually I brought up that topic since I was hacking in the mist yesterday lol xD Wow that is crazy! That's good that Captain behaved himself because I am sure there were some horses that probably didn't like the loud sound of hail hitting the roof.

I have a couple of rain stories actually: At my old barn it was really cloudy and they were dark clouds, but we decided to go out anyways because the outdoor is bigger than the indoor. Well we rode for maybe 20 minutes or more and got some jumping in and then it started raining on us xD We started to walk back inside at the point but it was pretty funny since everyone was soaked.

Next story, last summer we had a mini-hurricane (just lots of rain and high winds) and we rode inside. Then it started hailing and some of the horses went bonkers and there was a rider that fell off that day too. I don't remember who I was riding but my horse was just standing there calmly xD

Last summer (during the hurricane I was riding indoors in), before I started riding with my trainer, the two older girls, A and M, were at the HITS show and they were showing OUTSIDE in the hurricane. The HITS doesn't have any indoor arenas and they don't like to cancel shows (then they start stacking up and since it's a week of showing it's hard to reschedule show days) so all of the people there were showing outside during a hurricane getting soaked.

This April, I was at my first HITS and Saturday, the last day I was there, it was started to get really dark and cloudy. There were about 20 entries in my class and I still had to wait my turn before I could go in and do my trips. The winds starting picking up and stuff was blowing everywhere. Then it started to pour and I mean pour. It was torrential downpours and not only that it started to thunder. Still, they didn't cancel the show but luckily Woody didn't mind the rain -- even the torrential downpours xD We still did our trips and ended up doing great, maybe I was just more motivated to do well since it was pouring. Well my trainer was estatic with all of our trips and we ended up pinning 2nd and 4th out of 20 something entries!

This isn't really a story of riding in the rain, but whenever my trainer goes to the HITS with students it always rains. I mean every single show they have gone to it has rained, I have been told. The pattern definitely continued though since it rained in April when I did my first HITS and in July when I did the HITS on Mulligan <3 We didn't ride in the rain though, right after we got my ribbons and got to the car it started pouring. The next day there was a huge puddle in the ring for my eq class /: But yes, it has rained every HITS show my trainer has attended with her students. -end of my 500 stories-

Dolphin- oh my gosh those are crazy rain stories! xD yeah luckily he was pretty calm but would not stand still. Which it really, really, REALLY weird for him lol. There was this huge mud puddle by the front closed arena enterence. We all had to go around it because t would be a pain to clean out there hoofs with then deeply caked in mud. The day of the big storm was the same day for evolutions, and if your not there, there keep you in the same level, thankfully I came and passed with high marks too it was kinda funny. Furring the lesson my mom went out to get a wedding present for someone, and wasn't back by the time we finished. It started rainining again really had to I put captain in his stall and ran out to the covered area by the parking lot thinking my mom will see me. But noooo she drove right passed me and my waving arm lol so I finally got her attention, but I got socked anyway lol
