Yesterday, I had a flackin' awesome lesson. Doc was so good! I just love that horse. We practiced *drum roll* DRILL TEAM! I am so, so, so joining a team! It was great. and Doc enjoyed it. I also tried ribbon race! It was so fun, besides the fact that my 15.2 hh was running with a 17 hh on the inside xD But ohmigawd, I'm so excited.

Congrats. =D I own 4 QHs. On Thursday, we had a little party with some other people that I ride with and we had a thing where donuts are tied to a string and you have to get on your horse and eat the donut without using your hand wile in the horse! If the donut falls, you are out. I did it, and I won first place! It was so much fun!

@rain: Owch, that sounds painful. I think I know what you are talking about though because occasionally I would get this excruciating in the same place you have yours and I don't even understand what it is from. See mine isn't riding related though so it's a bit different xD It hurts like hell though ;-; Luckily it hasn't happened for a while though. I hope you feel better.

Have fun at camp (:

@Hime: Woah that is gorgeous o.0

@wibeke: Oh my, I am so sorry to hear about your and Major's fall today. That's so ironic that it happened after you guys had your best canter yet. I hope you are okay and am very glad to hear that Major is doing well. It must have been extremely scary and I would have been just as concered about Major as you are <3 It sounds like you both love each other very much and that is spectacular ;D
At the HITS in April my friend, who was riding ShuShu in the jumpers, fell the first day but I wasn't there to see it since I was finishing up in the hunter ring. Then she fell again the second day, and I finally had time to go watch the girls in jumpers since there wasn't any confilct between that and me riding in the hutners, and ShuShu fell down too. It was so scary and my heart totally dropped. My trainer came running out to the ring along with her mom. It was awful and the girl was heartbroken. She also ended up with a concussion D'x ShuShu ending up being fine though <3

@sam sam: I forgot to tell you, Doc is gorgeous! I saw the picture you posted of him a while back and was like o.0 Congratz on getting to join a drill team! That sounds super exciting :3 Good luck.

_____________

Alright I can't stop smiling. I had a wonderful lesson this afternoon. It was raining by my house but it didn't rain by the barn, so I got to ride outside! That made me so happy because I love the front outdoor. Bubbles' owner didn't take a lesson with me though, she was at the barn and in the ring with me but then she left, so I ended up havinig a private lesson. I started trotting Mulligan around to warm him up. On one half of the outdoor ring there is this makeshift dressage ring set up (just with poles and cones and their letters), and when my trainer came out she told me to come into the dressage ring and that we would ride in there today. I thought I was going to have a dressage lesson, which I was happy about. First we trotted around in there and then my trainer had me cut across the ring from K to B and change direction. Then she had me do what I considered a mini dressage test since she woud say something like "Pick up canter at F," and then "Then go down your sitting trot at C." or something along the lines of that. It was really cool and really fun! I felt like a dressage rider and it was awesome xD I got Mulligan moving really nicely too. Then we did some really small circles at the trot and Mulligan was moving off of my leg very well for that too. Then we cantered on the right lead and my trainer didn't have me circle so Mulligan did the lead swap. We tried that again but he still swapped and my trainer realized there was no use in trying to go straight anymore when we know he swaps at the exact same place every time lol xD Then my trainer just had me do circles at one end of the dressage arena and I progessively made them bigger. My trainer was so happy with the way I was riding Mulligan and it made me feel so good <3

After that she said we were going to jump! First we jumped a small 2' blue coup. That went fine but Mulligan was a bit slow and pokey. Then we cantered it but chipped /: We cantered it one more time, this time with a really nice anf forward pace and it was awesome! My trainer said that it was perfect :3 After that my trainer had us jump a 2'6" brush vertical to the outside line which looked like 2'9" 8D Since that went very well my trainer made us a course, something I haven't done in two weeks, so I was pumped. The course was 2'6" brush vertical, to a 2'3" or 2'6" triple bar oxer, bending line to the 2' or 2'3" blue coup, back to the 2'6" brush, finish with the 2'9" outside line. That went super well again and I was so happy. My trainer had me walk Mulligan for a few minutes to let him cool down after that course. Then she made us another course! YAY! This time the course was a different 2'6" brush vertical, to the other 2'6" brush vertical, 2'9" outside line, turn to a 2'6" vertical, broken line to the 2'6" brush again, and end with the 2'3" or 2'6" oxer. The first time I got lost after the 2'6" vertical, but then my trainer just had me do the broken line and oxer. Both parts of the course were fantastic, and even though the broken line was really challenging since I had to start the turn right as we landed, Mulligan listened well and we did it and did it well. My trainer very very happy and said I did a really good job today. The only thing she told me to work was was that I would round my back after jumps only if I had to turn, and to really plant my butt in the saddle on the sharper turns, but she said that was only because I haven't regained all of my muscle from my vacation. I felt like I did a much better job of sitting deep through the turns on the last course :3 I am just so so incredibly happy with this lesson, it was fantastic!

My mom got some good pictures of Mulligan and I jumping, but I didn't get any pictures of Mulligan since we were in a rush after the lesson. I am hacking him tomorrow though so I will be sure to get a lot of pictures then (:

Oh and we aren't going to the HITS this week because it's just too much. The HITS show are crazy expensive and doing two shows back to back (July and August) is a lot. I am a little bummed that we can't go, but I totally understand, especially since I just came back from vacation and don't have a lot of time to prep. I think my trainer wants us to go back at the end of Septmeber for the final HITS show :3 Just thought I would let you guys know about that.

Mulligan, you make my world go round and I can't stand to see you go.
I'm going to miss you like crazy and I love you to pieces.
You are the love of my life and will always occupy a huge portion of my heart.
I want you to know how much I love you, and our 6 months together have been the best 6 months of my life.
You have been a dream come true and I have been on cloud nine since we first met.
I will never forgot all of the amazing times we've had together.
Enjoy your new home and promise me this, that you will never forget me, as I will never forget you.

Hey guys - read everything, will answer later... I should be doing homework right now haha.

Had a FABULOUS lesson today. Kat was an angel! Videos to come! C:

I'm super tired, though, as I got to the barn at 7:30 and stayed until 4:30. And now I have pages of homework to look forward to... yay.

Had a horse show today
ehh
We only pinned once in our hunter classes and it was a sixth.
Ended up with two 6th's, a 5th and two 3rd's.
Could've done better.
I was riding like utter crap.
Awkward saddle, being in pain and being up at 2:50 am because you can't sleep didn't help.
Plus we got there late so I couldn't do show jumping ):
Maybe next time.
Very stressful and tiring day.

Gem was a star, put up with my bad riding and nerves.
Screwed our leads up in our one hunter class both times.
But the second class we got them.

I really can't ride in these stupid 18" anymore.
Gem won't try, even at a trot.
If I canter them, she'll end up tripping and throwing me onto her neck, like every other time.
I need to be showing in like 2'3+ stuff, because as a hunter she won't try.
And my Eq is so much better instead of these stupid 18" jumps >>
And I feel like I'm such a bad rider because I can't place well in these easy classes.
But maybe it was just an off day, we did great last time....
So we'll see....

Going saddle shopping tomorrow with a girl from the barn <3

@Hano&Dolphin: I'm so glad both of you had amazing lessons! I bet you're so happy to see your Mully boy again. Congrats on 2'9! That's awesome! Hano, how was Kat? A bit better than the last time?

Um... I know there are a ton of other people who need a reply, so just send me a pm or quote something for me and I'll reply for you. <3

Horse- I'm sorry it was a crappy show. Next show, if you are in the show jumping, will you be able to do the 2'3 jumps?

At least tomorrow will be a good day. Nothing like saddle shopping you perk you up!! :)
