For the Western idea, I ride Western and I love Barrel Racing and Cutting (I don't do either at the moment but am hoping to Barrel Race) and Reigning, also don't do hoping to learn though, and also just normal pleasure riding for both English and Western if that would be allowed? Maybe to give pointers to people who have never shown before, give them an idea on what to work on, me included in this!

I got to ride Rain Cloud yesterday, lots of trotting which was awesome since I just started riding him a few weeks ago, I love his personality and attitude, he's just too sweet and cute! Trotted him in a circles then would make him slow down to a walk, then back up again until I could post on him at a trot without him picking up his pace any, both his owners say their proud of me and one of them says that he loves watching me ride Rain Cloud (Rainy for short)because he tell he's listening to me. You just have to be careful with him because he's fast and is complete,y voice command really, he's great <3

And I think that it would be a good idea to include a few "fun" categories besides all of the hard-core riding stuff - you could do a best groomed horse/pony award, prettiest tack, best costume, etc.

Let me tell you all of my ideas so far:
-Maybe we could do divisions (under saddle/over fences or two over fences) so we could award Champion and Reserve Champion? *Just an idea, tell me what you think*
-If no divisions then it would just be classes
-We would have english and western classes
-Then we could split it up further to hunt seat eq, dressage eq, ect.
-If people want western classes someone may want to give me ideas as to what you would like (reining, cutting, barrels, ect.)
-It would be with both pictures and videos
-We would elect judges for each division/class by knowledge/who wants to judge

If anyone has anything else they would like please let me know

Ribbons would be cute. ;D Like drawings? If you guys want, I'm willing to dish out lots of CS pets as prizes, because I'm only on the site for this thread now and really don't have any interest in all of my old pets.

And I think that we should have a "Who's video looks the most like Lillie Keenan's Eq" competition, lol. I compare myself riding to her all the time, it teaches me a lot. Lillie Keenan = MY IDOL

Umm...I don't think so since they would just be entering a class that they wanted to enter in, so no. I mean maybe if there are enough people with videos...My only concern is not having enough people in a video class.

That's a good idea! I think that it would be cool to have a Champion/Reserve for all english, all western, and all fun, and then also have a huge over-all Champion/Reserve.

We can also do that with other riders, maybe someone western? xD

I have no idea, I'll think on it, though. Ooh, a most improved class might be funny. xD Like, people submit two pictures - one from when they started riding, and one current.

So for English will the categories be somewhere along the lines of...:

Equitation U/S
Equitation O/F

Jumpers

Hunter U/S
Hunter O/F

Dressage

Pleasure


So are you going to find someone to handle the Western stuff? Maybe sam sam, or Rowdy, or October? Or anyone that is knowlegeable about western xD

I let Rusty jog around the front yard on Saturday, and yesterday I took him to the very end of the driveway and let him run up to the house!
Damn it was fun. I never ran a horse before.

Well, ladies, I went and did it. I broke my foot. Yay me. I don't give a crap about what a doctor says, I'm riding this weekend. It's been three weeks. I am not, however, riding in a lesson, I'm gonna get the feel back first, ya know?
