Ok, this is totally off topic of anything, just wanted to know if anyone had had a fall(on a horse, of course!) that they wanted to tell everybody?

On my second Ponyclub rally, I fell of my horse, Rusty, after having him since September.(PC rally was February) Our group was jumping the brick wall which was only 'bout 65cm, and all was going well, except when it got to me. I trotted up to it, but I am not the most confident jumper, so I sort of let him slow down and stop in front of it. He wasn't scared of it or anything, so I went in a circle and came in a bit faster. If everyone else could jump it, I could. See? I was determined, at least. XD Then, as we got just in front of it, it was as if he was just seeing it for the first time ever! He did this massive 'cat-leap' over it, I swear he could've been jumping an 80cm jump, and then, when we landed, he did a pigroot and since I was already 'behind' him, I did this slow-motion fly through the air and landed beside him, on my bum. I looked up to see him cantering off. Then I was swarmed by everybody, asking the usual 'are you alright?'s.
My mum and I were trying to figure out why he kept pigrooting after jumps, and we found out 2 months ago that he had a really bad back problem DX. He's all better know, but it was really serious and I felt really guilty that I hadn't picked it up before :'(
So much for being determined to get over it safely! :P

Anyway, post and tell us about any falls that you've experienced! XD Just another topic to talk about. XD

A while ago I booked my tickets for the Windsor Horse Show, but at the time none of the timetables were definite or anything, so either I skimmed over it, or they just hadn't added it in, but, on the day I'm going, the Marwari horses will be performing during the day! C:
They've got a load of people from all over the world performing in a Jubilee event for the Queen instead of the usual Royal Tattoo in the evenings, and during the event they'll all be performing during the day, too. Originally I thought that the Marwaris weren't doing it on the Sunday, but they are and omg I'm so happy. I freaking love Marwaris. ;3;

The New South Wales Mounted Police [never before seen in the UK :D], the Royal Cavalry of Oman and Carosello dell' Arma dei Carabinieri will be showing in the Castle Arena throughout the day; the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride and the Karabakh Horses from Azerbaijan will be in the BHS Frogmore Arena; and the Chilean Huasos Equestrain Team and Magnificent Dancing Marwaris of India [<3333333] will be in the Copper Horse Arena.
I am so excited to see them all it's unreal! I'll be sure to take a tonne of pictures for you all, don't worry. c: I'm probably going to watch them as much as possible and then just see the classes before/after when I can. I'll definitely make sure to get a good spot before the Marwaris come out, which'll probably mean sitting through the class before, but I don't mind, it's a Side Saddle Concours d'Elegance. :3 Then after them is the Appaloosa classes, which rock, too.
If they're in chronological order, that is. c:

Wow that sounds so amazing! You should totally see the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, I see them every year at the big fair/exhibition thing here and they are really good! I love seeing them every year. Will you be able to take photos? I'd love to see some of everything!

So my trainer just texted me saying they've got my feeding job covered tomorrow, and to be there at 4 to get Jesse read to go have our lesson at one of the local schooling show grounds! So me and my friend will trailer Jesse and Simon out to ride in the outdoor ring! I'm so excited, this is the first time I've trailered a horse off- site. I've tagged along with other people before, but since this is my first year actually leasing and show season has just started up, this is my first time having a horse that I can take someplace. I can't wait till tomorrow now :D

I'll definitely be taking a load of pictures if I get a good enough view. C: My camera's a lot better than the my mum's one that we normally take, so they should be a decent quality, too.

Oooh, that sounds exciting! :D I hope it goes well [or went well? I don't know :B] for the two of you and it's fun and a good experience. I've never taken any horses off-site or anything, but I'm sure it's a great thing to do for a horse; getting 'em out and about doing new stuff in new surroundings. c:

That's cool that they all have a nice halter! At my barn, some of the horses have leather halters, others have Nylon. They are all in good condition, though, and they get to use a nice halter at shows. ;D Oooh, I've never seen leather Horseware halters! Willow's is a [url=http://www.smartpakequine.com/rambo-newmarket-halter-6923p.aspx]Horsewear Newmarket[url] one... in the navy to match our barn colors. I just borrow a leather one for shows, lol.
Haha, I spend my own money on them! They all already have halters, I just want them to get PRETTY halters. Kat's is green nylon. >< He wants a leather one.
I love those hoof picks, so precious!

Awesome about the jacket!

@Horse_girl:
Wow, congratulations! That's an awesome ribbon to get, especially out of all of those people! You guys have come so far, you should be majorly proud of yourself. And Gemmy.

@Show_Jumping:
Alex sounds like a jerk. D: I've experienced people like that at different barns, but not at my current one. You should tell your trainer about it and get him kicked out or something. ><

.....
I think I want to try eventing with Kat. No joke. He's getting much better with his jumping (so proud of him for doing his first 2 footer on Saturday), and he has the potential to go higher.
He's quick, handy, scope-y, and turns on a dime for the stadium jumping... However, I need to work with him on his lead changes. I actually got a few flying ones on Saturday, but they still need some work. xD And I need to get him more confident with jumping because he's so new to it.
I think he'd do really well at dressage because he moves beautifully, and when he frames up? It's gorgeous. <3
And he'd love XC. o.o He loves being ridden outdoors, and he doesn't really 'spook'... he just stares at things.

I'm going to talk with my trainers about it soon. C: There is a big cross country park that hosts events really close to my barn, I want to check it out!

Has anyone here done XC?

My riding instructor teaches him XD. Me and Sasha stay for PC from 10 to 3.30 :D

Okay now I'm pretty sure Heta has been in heat from past few days as today she was an angel, compaired to past few days. Light on the hand and all. Worked on same stuff as yesterday. Because she was lighter to the aids, especially to the hand, it was lot nicer for me. Still couldn't get her to trot with proper contact, but I could 'drop' her to trot from tolt by just giving bit more rein but then I could collect her again without her switching to tolt. I was pretty pleased with her so went to have a nice gallop on the road before cooling down.
Then stayed and watched one lesson. The only guy who rides at my stable was riding and he has seriously improved a lot since I last saw him. Then one girl got to ride my instructors horse, and she was totally loving him. :) Also one girl who rides her mom's (older, lazy and stubborn) gelding got him moving really well. So overall a really good lesson for all of them. :thumbup: Girl and her mom with the lazy horse are getting a second horse as a competition horse for the girl. Atleast when they are both bit older and have more experience. The horse is 6 years old and chestnut, his really handsome and well build, plus I heard he has nice moves as well(1st prize parents too, so not a suprise). His sire is same as my instructors horse's. Their sire is freaking amazing, came 3rd at last nordic championships, he was bred here but then sold to other country. My instructor went to see the gelding with them and she really liked it too, even said that he might have more potential than her horse. Which tells a lot to me. My instructor also said I could ride her horse basically when ever I wanted to, 'cause she's busy/lazy sometimes. It would also help me to get my tolt aids right and my seat better. Now I just have to figure out when I could ride him...
Can we pretend that the airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now...

When I first got Casper he came with no tack. So I rode my besties horse one day, It spoooked, Bolted and galloped down the long side. I hade 1 stirrup and no reins but i icked on, so he would have to do more work, I sliped suddenly and my arm scraped the whole long side of the fence and when I fell blood was going everywhere. And I had a MASSIVE bit of wood stuck in my arm for 3 weeks.

I am going too, but sadly your inccorrcet, pipa funnel is out due to
Injured horse, so Zara is up for selection but she only has one possible ride (mayb injured I dunno). The team so far is piggy french, William fox-Pitt, Mary king, (can't remember), and so far blank. Up for selection is Oliver Townsend, and others. I am Suprised you only just found out your going, I don't want Zara to compete I want another male to keep will company personally (I love will and Mary both such nice people). Yes Zara can ride but not as well as them! Her horse would also rather go vertical than foward.
btw Mandy-Lou22 is soooo amazing wanna give her a massive hug
also thank you to Asura for giving me my dream pet
also thank you to AiraSkylar for giving be the 08 advent of my dreams
another thank you to ~Amberleaf~ who gave me 3 free rares!

Friday needs to come sooner. I have to go see Major and Jeffery, I miss my two idiots. <3
And Harry's back! Not that I'll ever get to ride him, since the girl I ride with has pretty much claimed him the second we got news that he'll be boarding at the barn for the summer again. That's too bad, he seems like a wonderful little pony. He's one of the horses my instructor uses for the college shows, and everyone loves him to death. I might just convince my mom to move my lesson over someday so I can give him a try, if my instructor would let me. [she's picky about who rides him, though Olivia and I are about equal riding level wise, I think?] This girl always gets the fancy ponies to ride, I want a turn! xD
It took me months before she finally chose to ride someone other than Chloe, and she rides with the other instructor and gets to use her ponies as well. I'd be lying if i said i wasn't jealous of her. Now to figure out how to Pony-nap Harry... xD
