@Verdana: I'm always amazed how flexible horses can be, atleast when they want to. Heta does that 'itchy leg' scratching too, especially in the summer, she also sometimes lifts her other hind and scrathes the inside of the leg/her belly...
I'm pretty sure foals are made of rubber. ;) They can scratch their own tail with their teeth, though not for long as they end up loosing their balance. :lol: I can't wait until next year when we get some super cute horse babies running around at the stable.

@Hekomi: Paula is freaking huuuuuuge. :shock: I saw a shire last weekend, but for some reason she didn't seem as huge as Paula. :shock: btw, I don't think you are big in weight wise
Can we pretend that the airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now...

@Pep:
I wish my dad liked horses! xD

@Rosalind:
Aww, your dad sounds super sweet. <3 Sorry you haven't seen Caly for so long! That would kill me too. xD

@Hekomi:
Holey huge. o.O How tall is she? And Chance is absolutely adorable. <3 I love ponies! Lopey is pretty cute too. ;D
The biggest horse I've ever ridden was Imax, the 19hh Selle Francais. He was at my barn on trial earlier in the year, but the vet discovered some kind of chronic lameness problem in his front feet during the vet check. D:

@Hano: He is the best! :3 I might be baised though...
I get to go see her Thursday, I don't think two days can drag on much slower!
DX
Wow... 19h?! That's crazy. The tallest I've ridden is about 16h.

Paula is 18.3hh I think; she's just rather rotund as well. The farm bought her right after she weaned her foal, so she was in pretty bad shape and very lazy. xD

Thanks about Chance. <3 He's a sweetie when you ride him, but has bad stable manners. I'm surprised how sweet he looks there.

With Lopey, I don't know if she ruined him or what. He just really didn't like her, but she's a fine rider and very sweet/nice. I'm not sure if it's just because he's getting older and fighting for authority with his paddock mates, or she did something he didn't like. Either way he's more trained now and if you do something wrong he's not as forgiving since he knows it's your fault and not his. I rode him last week before I was thrown, and he's very skinny. I lost my balance after going over a line of jumps, and in the corner proceeded to fall forwards onto his neck [I righted myself and everything was fine]. It happened last year too one time and when that happened he immediately stopped and was so sorry and sad. This year he just kept booking it at a canter until I got over myself and halted him. He was like "yeah whatevs". xD Horse-attitude.

Well in that case, silly horsey! XP Sound like he might just be getting over being a good boy all the time.

I think I'ved asked this before, but I've been looking at some riding pants on sale and I've narrowed it down to two choices.
Devon-aire and On Course Cotton Naturals, which to you guys think is better? The Devon-arie's are cheaper so I was leaning towards them.

Yeah, it's unfortunate. We all used to say "the perfect horse would be Chance's skills and Lopey's attitude" but now Lopey is starting to be a sourpuss like Chance... he's not as outwardly nasty, but he makes you run around to fetch him, and will bite/roll occasionally. Chance is actively grumpy and will chase, kick, charge, etc. if he feels like it. When you're riding him he's absolutely fine, except if you take off a jacket, or pass something to someone else [besides a crop]. He spooks and bolts, and we haven't figured out how to "fix" it. Tried pretty much everything, but we figure it has something to do with his past, where he was abused before we bought him from the horse rescue.

As for breeches, I've never ridden in either, but I've heard people say they like the Devon-arie's.

@Rosalind:
I know how you feel! I hate having to wait to ride. D:
Yeah, he was HUGE. His sellers claimed that he was 'purebred' but my trainers think that must've had some draft tucked in there at some point. He had a Selle Francais brand and papers though, so I guess they were wrong. xD
My barn has a lot of big horses. o.o Willow is 16.3, Uman was 16.2, Lukas is 16.2, the new horse is 16.1, and Kat is 15.2 (which is big for an Arab xD).
For breeches, I say Devon-aire. I have a few pairs of them, they are pretty cheap and SUPER comfortable! I get lots of compliments on them, and people are surprised that they didn't cost me $100+.

@Hekomi:
Yeah, she WIDE.

Chance sounds like Lukas - an brat on the ground, but an angel when riding. xD Well, Lukas isn't exactly an 'angel', he's more of a 'crazy but fun' type. xD

Hm. That's odd. Does she still lease him? And how are you doing after the fall? D:

Ooo, she's a 3 footer? I'm jealous! Seriously. xD Willow can do 3 foot, but in moderation. She's an old lady. <3

@Dolphin:
You really did do amazing, and I can't wait to see the pictures!
Puddlejumpers with Megs would be adorable! You should do it!

And thanks. (: I've really taken a step back with her, though, since she has lost nearly ALL of her strength. She used to have 'easy' days, but now she has her 'I think I'm a silly 4 year old again wheee! ;D' Yeah. I'm going to have to LUNGE her before I ride her again. o.O If you knew the old Willow, this would surprise the heck out of you. xD New Willow is sassy.
My friend showed me this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zuf9FhPi ... re=related. Apparently from .34 to .38 is exactly what Willow did to me after the failure lead changes.

Yeah, it felt great, especially since only one was an actual student. ;) The other was the barn manager/main trainer!! They have an awesome show team and amazing riders come out of there, so it felt great!

Thanks. <3 I think I'm riding him Wednesday(?) but we'll see. ;D Hopefully, he's a cutie.

D'aww thanks so much <33 I am trying to find some good ones :3 I will upload ASAP. I think it would be rather fun. I will have to see where we get in lesson though, since I haven't done any real courses with him and if I do my trainer and his owner said he will need a different bit...I would love to do Puddle Jumpers though xD It would be cute haha.

Yeah, I'm sorry to hear about that >.< It sounds like Willow as been doing a ton better though. Especially for her to be able to jump again ^^ Haha, lunging sounds like a good idea <3 Woah o.0 You must have very good balance and a very good seat to stay on during that xDD I have managed to stay on during some horse bucks too, and when Cookie refused a jump multiple times (once I did fall though, that refusal was exceptionally bad xD).

That really is such a great compliment :3 Wow! That must have been awesome from the barn manager <33 I am sure it did ;D

@Pairs of Breeches: I just got a pair of Ariat show breeches, and I love them soo much <33 I was going to get Tailored Sportsman ones but they were really expensive and the Ariat ones looked really similar but were cheaper, so I bought those xDD I am hoping to get a pair of Tailored Sportsman breeches later though. I would suggest Ariat or Kerrits though. I have both and love 'em :3

@Parents and Horses: Well my mom goes to most/all of my lessons. She enjoys being with the horses and watching me ride but doesn't know very much about them and she doesn't really try to learn about them either >.< But she enjoys being at my lessons and around the horses. My dad attends a lesson or two occasionally but goes to all my shows. He has put in a huge effort to learn about horses and riding and Hunters, which I really apperciate. During the HITS he was trying to learn about grooming and tacking so he can help me out (the older girls did) when I am wearing my nice show clothes that I can't get dirty xDD

Hano, your mom is really involved!! That is so cool that she at least has ridden before ;D I laughed when you said what you guys did in the dog park xDD That is something I would do too :lol: Even though my dad is really trying, I would love to have a parent like your mom :3 I am sure one day I will make my dad that person xDD

@Hime and Amy Pond
He's not terribly lame, just sore enough not to ride and stress out his joints/front legs. Patti was supposed to come check him, but her lesson canceled, so he didn't get checked. He seemed fine so I hopped on bareback and we flexed and worked on his head position at the walk only. He did good, except the soft sand in the indoor arena was making him step really slowly and slide a bit. xD
Previously iRowdy/OneRowdyNight and all sorts of other things.

Rest In Peace Zax. I love you.

here is a little poem i made

death
it overwelms me
like a black hole in the sky
as the chills fill my bones
the terror arises above the highest heights
the darkness it closes so very soon
asi slip away to the unknown

and another poem
why do i feel this way
nights just feel like day
i take the knife with the sharpest blade
ready to end this horid day
i fell to the ground
and slipped away
