Ouch, snow is not very nice indeed. We got some snow a while ago and it got really cold too, but thankfully none of that after that time... But it was really 'nice' when the temps droped nearly to minus degrees and there was some sleet comming down around eastern and we had just changed summer tires to our car. This winter/spring has been really intresting weather wise, hopefully summer is not like that...

Heta was being super awsome today. :D She listened really well to my seat and didn't lean to the reins at all. L had forgotten her inside today, as Heta was moved to lower stable. I didn't mind, because it was raining outside and by staying in Heta was totally dry. It stopped raining and it was actually almost sunny when I left the stable. Tomorrow's weather is supposed to be better, so I'm thinking about hitting the trails, plus now they have cleared up the paths so it's possible to ride in the woods.
Can we pretend that the airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now...

Heta has issues with riding indoors as well. Or atleast she used to, as last time I rode in one was a year ago. Ibelieve majority of the horses have bad days when even easy things are hard to do. I know Heta has those, but she is a mare after all and mares can be moody during heat and stuff. Though Heta isn't that crazy at that time. I heard from one person that their mare just goes completely nuts when she's in heat; spooking at anything, chasing and bossing other mares, generally being really hot to ride etc.

I also don't have horsey frieds either... Which is why if I get a chance to start talking about horses, I won't stop. XD I once babled a good hour and half car ride only about horses to my mom.... :lol:

Yeah, he was definitely not having a good day. Part of it was probably me, too. I was really grumpy about the rain and I wasn't riding at my best. He has his off days every once in a while, but he's a really good horse and his good days more than make up for the occasional bad one.
Haha, that's why I prefer geldings. Mares are funny little animals sometimes, very moody. And I've heard that, too. Cinnamon and Chloe both get kind of nutty when they're in heat. Chloe is rideable but gets sensitive about her back, but Cinnamon suddenly feels young again and starts running around like an idiot. It's frustrating since she's used for little kids.

Same here! It's terrible, they take up a good chunk of my free time but my friends have no idea how much fun it is. My best friend is well aware of the fact that the horses come before her. xD
So once I'm given the chance to talk about them I really just don't shut up. My poor mom is usually the one who's subjected to it, my friends have all learned to just smile and nod.

My mare, Calypso, definitely gets a little nutty during heat. She is the first mare I've really been around during heat and... o.o She isn't as bad as my friend's mare though, she just goes crazy. Caly tends to be okay once she's under saddle, still a little more feisty than usual.

haha Sounds like me! It's usually school -> barn -> sleep. My dad gets the talkings though, my mom doesn't even know the difference between western and english riding. I think she has watched me ride a grand total of oh wait... never. I've been riding, not always lessons, but riding since I was five.

My horse is insanely flexible. Thought I'd share.

Had a really nice day with him on Saturday. Caught him in fifteen minutes, with only one apple! Huge improvement. He also worked nicely in the eggbutt. No need for the pelham at all. He wasn't keen to join up with me after the lesson, although he did try hard. Seeing him tomorrow.

@Wibeke:
I read your post. ;D
I pretty much read everyone's posts on here, I just don't get around to replying to most. I'm glad you had a good lesson, though. (:

@Parents and talking about horses:
My dad never comes out to see me ride, so I don't talk about horses with him at all. xD He just changes the subject or tells me to shut up when I try.
My mom, on the other hand, is -almost- as bad as I am. :p She has never ridden more than trail rides, and doesn't want to, but she watches nearly all of my lessons, reads horsey books to learn more, etc. She likes to help brush off the horses and is always loving on them and giving them treats. <3 And she listens to me rambling on about horses and riding. :P We go watch shows together, went to the WEG together... she even watches the horse sale videos with me to put in her opinion about their movement, jump, etc. xD
Gotta love her. We were at the dog park yesterday, and we were grouping the dogs into Hunter, Jumper, or Eq based on their movement. xD

@Verdana:
Wow. o.o He really is flexible. I'm glad you had a good lesson!

Riding tomorrow, hopefully on the new TB, Sylvester. (: Or Kat. Good news! Kat has graduated to a little happy mouth elevator! ;D Yay! No more annoying Mullen Mouth/bar!

Opposite to me! My dad likes horses, not so much my mum. I taught him how to tack up ect, on my old pony, and he seems very interested. And if the Saddle Club is on the TV he happily sits there watching it =P (I don't watch it to often, just when nothing else is on =P)

@HanoYour mom sounds awesome! My mom won't even touch horses.

I'm home sick right now and I've gotten to see
Caly since Friday! DX It's killing me!

@ Pep Sounds like your dad is like mine! He goes with me to my friend's barn where I keep my mare and helps me. He even shoveled poop for me one day!

I stole my housemate's camera and found some pictures she took a while ago and never told me about. Bl
Paula the Percheron compared to 5'4'' me. I left the top of my helmet for comparison. XD Keep in mind this was like, last September, so I'm about 30lbs lighter now

My Pony Chance so handsome ;u;

One of the other school horses I ride, Lopey
He's almost 6 and still very green, but sweet, though recently after being leased by an intermediate rider he's developed a nasty attitude and is generally sour. ;u;
*Do not PM me for CS help. Send a ticket instead.*

I have received 53 gifts.

Wow, big horse! D'aww, Chance is adorable and so is Lopey! Such a shame when a rider ruins a horse. :(
