I have to get rid of my pit bull, She has 3 strikes aginst her. Because she has killed 2 cats and a dog. And the animals got into HER yard she did not escape and kill her. And am pretty sure the animal control just hates pitties. We have 2 weeks to find another home for her.

sorry to get into conversation but pittbulls where bred for agression not being dogs for tiny kids there is nothing like raising pitbull it will always be agressive. it's in their gens so they can't be nice to everything and not kill an dog

Here's me jumping in here!
Pits were bred and raised to take down large animals.
But they're amazing with other animals and small children when raised right.
They do get territorial. If a dog or other animal comes into their territory and causes trouble for the dog, then the dog will get aggressive. That's any dog. No matter how it's raised.

Pits are not bad dogs. They're not aggressive for no reason.
Really German Shepherds and Labs have more aggression than Pits do.
It's all how the dog is raised.

Don't stereotype the breed!

The american pit bull terrier was selectively bred for dog on dog combat. The stud books (foundation stock for a breed) were only open to dogs that had won 3 fights.

A dogs temperment works hand in hand with enviroment AND genetics. Aggression doesnt make a bad dog. Many breeds besides apbt are dog aggressive and many breeds like to chase and kill small animals. Both of these things have very little to do with how a dog is raised and more with how a dog is managed.

yeah, We adopted her from an abusive situation. She had always been this way.
