Sadly we lost my leopard gecko Marvel yesterday. He had gone 4 months of his life without any sort of calcium or d3 other than the starving crickets that he had to fight over in the petstore. I gave him a good home for two months. In those two months he put on massive amounts of weight (which he needed desperately), grew an inch, and became a very friendly, out-going little lizard.
Unfortunately, though, the severe calcium deficiency never really went away, and within only one week he suddenly lost every ounce of fat he had and passed away. I'm really sad, but I knew when I rescued him that there was little chance of him ever living as long as they can under proper conditions. I'm just happy I was able to give him a better life while I could.
On a happier note, my other three gecko girls are doing very well! Adonis has slowed down her growth rate, which is normal at her age. Ares and Pan are now just finishing filling out, and both will be two years old in June. Adonis will be turning two years old in November! This morning I fed Pan while she was perching on one hand, which was fun, haha. The other two won't eat if they're out of their tank, but Pan is really chill about things like that.
Fig, my iguana, has doubled in size! She'll be a year old May. She's calming down a lot more, if I'm patient I can pet after she finished spazzing (silly lizard), and she knows her name now...but doesn't come when called or anything like that XD Still not "friendly" really, but I think we're getting somewhere.
