I like ferrets they are cute, I would like to have one ( actually two or three) when I am older because I don't want a pet that can live up to eight years when I have to go to college in three years lol. Everyone who wants a ferret must take how old they can live in to mind.

They can live up to 12 with the right care and treatment. My brothers boy Sasuke is 8 years and still going strong, one of my past working ferrets was 12 before I lost and she worked till she 8 years. All of mine have been between 10 and 12 before I lost them so 8 to me is pretty young.

Taste of the Wild dry cat food or tinned, fresh meat such as hole rabbit (once rabbiting season starts back up in September) and day old chicks, duck wings and rats but its mostly a meat diet dry Ferret food realy doesnt have the same qualty as a raw diet. I only feed dry cat food through the day whilst its hot then fresh once its cooled down.

I'll jump in here and say that you're really not supposed to give ferrets cat food because it doesn't have enough protein, and ferrets need a LOT of protein. Unless your ferrets are getting extra protein from something else, they need to be fed ferret food. Cat food is formulated for felines, not weasels.
