I want a new cat, and theres one at a shelter I want named smokey. She's beautiful and she's soooooo sweet! The only problem is that Tabby kinda takes a while to get used to new pets... does anyone know how to get him to be... you know... less obnoxious to other animals... he's still not used to my dog after almost 4 years!

Let Tabby first smell the scent of the new cat. Soo.. let the new cat go in a room, then move her and let Tabby go in. Then the new cat. So tabby. Understand? Don't let them go in the same room until both know.

Btw, If you just let the new cat go freely around the house it can go wrong. Tabby feel then that his territory being invaded.

just put them in togeather my cats are allways introdused by leting the other go it took my cats about 2 weeks to accept ella and ella to accept them

frist is was my oldest and the leader lucky she didnt like him but he went up to her or tryed to and she hissed at him (i think its cause he is such a mussleley cat and he looked like he could hurt her to her) after about 4 days they were use to each other by 6 they where washing

wiki was 2ed she loved him at frist and tryed to follow him but he hissed at her it took them a week to get use to each other another to get to washing

my cat never come out of her corner, unless she needs to eat or go to her litterbox. She also doesn't play. any suggestions?

Umm... do people always hold her or taker her out of her corner? Sometimes if a cat can get too much attention and go some where, where they think that no one can get them.

Is she an old cat? Maybe she's just worn out if she is.

If she's a young cat... maybe she's just lonely, my cat had a sister that climbed into our hood and died when we started the car But my cat would just sulk all day.
