I had a much better ride with Kali today- no movie star rears! Yay! We put her in a kimberwick and had someone teach her a few manners for about three days and she is a different horse! Great sweeping trot, smooth canter! It was the best!

My Saturday lesson was so fun! We mostly worked on cantering during the lesson, well my coach wanted me to gallop!
So I did, it was so fun! Shamrock took off like a little rocket! Even through I almost fell of because at the last minute I turned into a horse-riding noodle and started bouncing around in the saddle.
But hey it was fun! I also got my confidence back, but I need some tips on cantering, could you guys help?
I need tips on slowing a horse down, any tips?

I have had my eyes on this one horse for sale. He is so nice, and so pretty! I love him, I am just trying to convince my parents that he is the horse I want.

@ Sapphire : Relax. Half-halt. Also, sit up straight and create resistance, especially when jumping.

Ooh, I forgot to tell you all, I got to ride Pancho bareback three days ago, I think. Well, it was the first of my three lessons in a row. I rode Winnie, and then my instructor stuck me on Pancho bareback. It was funny - my toes almost touched the ground! I nearly fell off at the canter, though. XD
Then, on the next day, we had a mini summer camp. The little girls were so cute. XD They rode terribly, but hey, they're beginners. They did walk and trot relay races, and then they played bride and groom... walking, of course. Then my friends and I got our helmets and played it. I got to get on Buttercup, lol. Her trot is so bouncy! I nearly fell off on the way there, then the other girl couldn't figure out how to get on.
The other girls were on Pancho and walked! Come on, at least trot! But at last, the girl got on behind me and we trotted back and beat the other girls on Pancho. Though, the other girl and I nearly fell off. It was so much fun!
