Hello and welcome to the announcement of the top 5 winners in my gIaNt artcomp!


After four hours of discussing and looking at pictures, I and the other 4 jurors (somehow we went from 3 to 5 jurors) were finally able to decide on a placement!
It was really, really difficult and there were disagreements on a lot of the pictures, but towards the end we were able to commit ourselves with a heavy heart.
The judges consisted of me, a friend who is artist themselves, two art noobs and a person who was neither meat nor fish for that matter, so I'm pretty sure that the rating is pretty fair.
The 5 categories mentioned were used for assessment (skill, composition, creativity, closeness to character, and effort).
In any case, it should be said that very, very many contributions were pretty much the same level and all were super great!
I am happy with every picture I got and would have loved to have at least 15 main prizes, but we had to limit ourselves to 5 and you can find out who these top 5 entries are below!




1. Lyciran with this picture of Romeo!

So there is actually not much to say why we chose this picture as first place.
The picture itself is just beautifully drawn and we all love your art style.
It's shaded, the lineart is nice, clean and nothing protrudes, the flowers are drawn individually and that smoll tear-
There is a great atmosphere in face expression and also the pose, both of which go very well with the character. In general, you captured the OC very well, the picture is very aesthetic, as is the OC itself.
It's just a great drawing that we all liked pretty much and that meets all the criteria very well.


2. bananer with this picture of Halloween Soda!

This picture-
It's just great.
This pose is super dynamic and original and just sums up the character who is obviously pretty cute, pretty well.
The character markings were hit well and it's not an easy pose that you chose, but you did it great and the facial expression and-

It wasn't difficult for us to decide, also with the small details and everything.
...and by the way, the picture of Razorblaze was also very popular! heheeeeeee



3. Sarahlunawolf with this gif of Codgerpaw!

Another picture that I think speaks for itself.
We have a drawing here from which you can see straight away that a lot of effort has gone into it.
The animation is fluid and great, the shading is nice and very detailed, the character has been hit and the picture is very atmospheric overall.
Also the fact that there is the flash and the tail wagging and the very well-made light reflections make this picture something very special, where you can really see the effort.


4. Lonewolf199152 with this gif of Halloween Soda!

Another very nice idea!
Again we have an animation that plays with the idea that the eyeballs are swimming in a liquid and everyone who animates knows that something like this can be very, very exhausting. But it turned out super cool and we also found it really nice that the small bubbles in the horn move too.


5. Liforneiroa with this picture of Keenan!

I just love the drawing.
I don't know, I can't really say more about It-
The drawing style is just really cool and neat and ahhh- and I just really, really like this drawing.

The awarding of prizes starts with Lyciran being the first to choose their first OMGSR and then it continues as described on the first page!
When all grand winners have received their prizes, runner-ups will be decided.

Congrats
