- Absolutely NO bases/tracing allowed! Your entries must be 100% original!
- Please put effort in! I will not accept entries that are just plain sketches or poorly-photographed traditional art. Shaded sketches and traditional art are totally fine but there needs to be some obvious effort put in.
- Respect the other contestants and their entries!

About The Character
Although some things about Jake are listed in his bio on Toyhou.se, I thought I should list some more key points that may be useful to know. I have yet to finish working on his Toyhou.se bio.

- He absolutely LOVES unicorns, and has a collection of unicorn stuff at home. (Hence why his band is called "Dignified Unicorn").
- He loves pastels and rainbows.
- He is 5'2" tall.
- All his clothes are loose-fitting and baggy because he's small.
- His eyes are always dark and tired from lack of sleep.
- His singing/screamo is awful.
- He is loud and outwardly confident most of the time, even though he actually lacks confidence.
- He cares about his older brother Aiden more than anyone else in the world.
- He almost always has his rainbow hat with him even if he isn't wearing it.
- He has a pink lacy collar with a bell on it but he keeps it a secret from everyone.

~How I Will Be Judging The Art~
I have a very specific way I want to do this so there is as little bias in my critique as possible.

The art will be judged based on...

- Attention to detail/effort
- Character accuracy
- Cleanliness (Keeping the colours inside the lines, making sure the corners are filled in correctly, etc.)
- Attention to lighting, shading and atmosphere (If any)
- Attention to movement (If any)
- Attention to anatomy and proportion


~Boosters~

- Adding a background
- Using a creative and unique idea and/or medium
- Adding animation
- Making a comic
- Making it funny
- Drawing a picture with two or more OCs in it***

This is an amazing first entry! I love the style, textures, and the attention to detail. The character's personality shines through in this drawing, and I love the way the colours pop. My favourite feature you added to this drawing is probably the tape in the background, since it's like the tape I drew on his album cover. Overall, I love this picture a lot. Great job!

I'm so happy you decided to submit a second entry, because I adore your cartoony style! The textures are similar to the first one, however the colours are a bit more toned down due to the addition of Jake's much less colourful boyfriend, Ari, and everything comes together very nicely. You made him look amazingly accurate from description and a sketch alone. I love the exchange of expressions between Ari and Jake in this drawing, it's very in-character for both of them. I love both of your entries! Keep up the good work!

Traditional is fine as long as the photo is good quality and I can clearly see the art. If you aren't going to do any colouring though, I recommend adding some shading and lighting.
