How Did Turtles Get Their Shells?
1000+ sorry I lost count ^^

Back then, a long, long time ago, before the dinosaurs lived turtles. These turtles aren't like the ones we have today, but different. These turtles do not have shells.

These turtles live in a small, but deep murky pond, considered their town. That town was called "Lilypad." There were about 30 turtles living there, each big and small. All of them were considered "ordinary" back then, but one was somewhat "not" This young turtle was a female, and was about 14 years of age. She looked the same as the others, moved the same way, and was a reptile as well. Maybe it was because of her big dashing brown eyes filled with excitement and adventure, how she is slightly more prettier then the others, or how she quite faster? No, it was none of those. It was her attitude, and how no one could bring her down, ever. She was the brightest little turtle you would ever meet. She was very smart also. Her name was, Brave.

Nobody really liked Brave, she was considered a "outcast." I mean, sure she would almost get them killed from time to time, but she never meant any harm. She grew up without any guidance, without her mother, without her father, without her family. She was practically alone in that cold, harsh world, but that never stopped her from being who she was. They can't really blame her, but that's what they do. Typical turtles.

Brave was separated from her mother and father at birth, and never heard from them again. Her mothers name was Emily, and her father's name was Eric. Some turtles say that they made a deal with the king, and tried to break it, but failed and were taken. Some say they abandoned her, but no one really knows. All she knows is that a woman turtle found her crying by a rock, covered, and she brought me here and left. She really never knew who her hero was, but she's thankful. None of that bothers Brave, because she knows she will see them again one day. Brave never really paid attention to what any one else said, but what she thought.

One day, while she was wondering around, she heard a faint scream in the distance. Being as curious and daring as she is, she decided to see what was making the harsh noise. She followed the noise until she could hear it perfectly clear. The. She saw it. It was the turtles most swarm enemy and predator,
The deadly, Vipor. This is a legendary creature, half snake, giant, with the nife at it's tail. It was 50x a turtles size. Then she saw what was making the noise, another turtle? This turtle seemed much older then her, but was a woman also. It looked
As if she was protecting something? Then she saw it. It was a male turtle, about as old as the female turtle, maybe a little older. She couldn't see him very well, but she knew he was seriously injured. Brave knew what she had to do. She had to save them, but how? She looked around eagerly, looking for Something to protect her with. Then she saw it, only a few feet away. It was a rock broken inside. It was broken as if she could put her whole body in there as a shield. Then she got a idea. She would use that as a shield! She put it on, and if it was made for her, it fitted just right! She put her little legs and arms through it. She laughed quietly to herself, "it's like a shell!" Then she remembered what she had to do.

she walked quickly, but quietly in front of the beast. She found herself face to face with the beast. Scared, and shaking, she yelled, "um hey, you ugly beast, look at me!." That caught it's attention all right. Now she was going to test her luck, to see if the shield would protect her body, while the nife was about to stab it. She closed her eyes, almost knowing that, that would be her last breath, but she was wrong. She only felt herself shake! It hadn't even caused a dent in the rock!! The best part, it had hurt the Vipor! Its shriekings were so loud she had to cover her ears. It was working! She had to keep taunting it to get her! It kept striking, over and over again, until it was bleeding. By now, the sheild was breaking, she couldn't hold on any longer, but she had to, and so she did.

Finally it hit her as hard as it could. It broke the shell. She felt it's razor sharp nife dig and rip throughout her back skin. She had never felt anything so horrible in her life. Then in a second, the beast left. With all of her pain and suffering, went to go and see the turtles that were getting attacked.

When she turned around, she saw something she thought wasn't possible. It was like looking in the reflection of the water. She was speechless, and the other turtle seemed to be as well. The male turtle seemed to be conscious now, and seemed to have the same expression. How was this possible? All the sudden she started breaking into tears. She ran into the female turtles arms. The male joined in too. They were all crying in a matter of seconds. She whispered "mom.... Dad.... Is it really you...?"
They replied with a simple "Yes Brave, it's your father Eric, and your mother Emily" it was all happening so fast, when Brave let out a horrifying scream. She was hurting, hurting so bad, she couldn't stop screaming.

Her parents were panicing, and picked her up fast. They rushed to Lilypad as fast as they could. Brave was slowly losing her breath by every step. She had to hold on, she couldn't let go, she had just found her parents!She has to try. She wanted to fall asleep, but she knew what would happen if she did. She couldn't leave, not now atleast. In a matter of seconds she was surrounded by turtles. They did what they could to help her, but they said it was to late. Her parents mourned in agony. The turtles were sad, but they had a question. What was that thing on her back? Her parents told them everything about the shield and her protecting them. Her last words were "Don't worry, I'll always be here."

She was never forgotten, you see she was a big part of turtle history. Because of her, today turtles have a way to protect themselves. They use their "shields," or their shells to protect them form predators.
After her passing, turtles started wearing the rocks until it grew attached to them. No seriously they started to be born with them. And that my friend is why turtles have shells today. All thanks to a little turtle named Brave.

Just to let you know, after that Vipor ran away, it got eaten by a bigger animal that unknown even today, so basically, "and then there was none" c;

Escape
Once there was a girl named Danni who lived in a house on the edge of the forest. one day she was wandering through the forest when she came across a tree with a wierd sign on it. she peeled away the bark to reveal a door. Not just a normal door a wooden door with a pure gold knob. she turned the door and went inside.
Inside the door was a small room with only a chair with a silver seatblet. she sat down and put the seatbelt on. the room suddenly left with a loud ZOOM and she was whisked away to this world.the chair landed and she instantly fell down unable to walk after that terrifying journey. when she regained balance she relized she was being watched. the creature watching her stepped out of the bush his arrow locked on her head. " Who are you?" the creature called out. Danni was left mumbling."Answer me!" the creature shouted. "D-D-Danni." she replied.The creature slowly crept towards her, his bow and arrow still locked on her head. He slowly lowered his bow and put his arrow back in his quiver. "Hunter."He said extending his hand. Danni slowly shook his hand. "What are you and what is this place?" She asked him. Hunter laughed. "This Danni is the Risen City and I am an elf." Danni shook her head in disbelief. "What is the Risen City?" Hunter replied with "it's the city of Fantasy Creatures. Like me, fallen angels, woodland sprites,dragon people , dragons.Those kinds of things." Danni looked at the floor. "How do I get out of here?"She asks quietly. Hunter 's smile disappeared. "Over there." Said Hunter pointing to a door on another tree. "Thanks." Danni said opening the door.

The Five Wolves of Arabah - Word count- 618 (I might have lost count a bit ) Hope you like it!

Centuries ago, there lived an ancient pack of wolves, they found a flourishing land, full of plenty things to eat, a safe environment to raise pups, the ideal location for a community of wolves. Ever since then, the wolves made it their home, and called the land Arabah. The pack leader, Ana, was a mystic wolf, who wore 5 crystals around her neck. A diamond, ruby, emerald, sapphire, and a amethyst. As Ana was very old, the crystals kept her body working, and without them, she would die. Many pups were born, and among them, Shamus, Amelia, Rolly, Emma, and Diana. Little did their parents know that they would soon become very important in Arabah.

Since the land was so gorgeous and plentiful, the wolves weren't the only ones who had their eyes on it. Humans from a neighboring kingdom drove the wolves out, burned the land, and claimed the land as their own. In all the chaos, Ana took five pups, led them away from the war, and gave them the crystals, but unfortunately, without the crystals, Ana died. And then there were none left in the land, except for the 5 pups, and the evil settlers.

The pups Ana took were Diana, who was bestowed with the diamond, Rolly, the male guardian of the ruby, Emma, the emerald guardian, Shamus, the sapphire gaurdian, and Amelia, who was given the amethyst. They were raised by an owl named Emptyeye, as she was only born with one eye. She was a gentle soul, who unfortunately never found a mate, but found her joy in the pups instead. They lived in a hole under an oak tree, so Emptyeye could live there too. They lived a happy childhood, and always wore the crystals. The seemed to have more energy than the other pups because of the crystals, but no one really noticed.

Eventually as the wolves grew older, the crystals helped them to remember Arabah, and how the great civilization was overcome by greedy humans. In their rage, they desired to take their home back. Suddenly, their coats started to change. "Wh...What's happening?," cried Emma as her coat turned green. Diana's coat turned bright white in a bright flash. "OW!," all the wolves cried. Shamus' coat turned blue, Rolly's red. and Amelia's, purple."We should take back our home.," declared Shamus. "Yes.," agreed Amelia, "Right now." So they set off to reclaim their homeland.

When they reached the mighty castle of Arabah, there were knights there to greet them. "The wolves have been enchanted, they must surely be here to see to our doom.," Said one of the knights. "GET THEM!" Yelled the commander. The knights charged, and the wolves stood their ground warding off the swords and arrows. Suddenly, Shamus was struck down, and Emma raced to his side. A knight took this opportunity to cut her necklace, and Emma lost the green coat color and fell to the ground. The crystal shattered, which caused Emma to howl in pain. Rolly lunged at the knight, knocking him to the ground. Seeing Emma hurt caused all the wolves to rise up and create a giant clap of thunder. The crystals created a giant tornado of colorful mist. Amelia turned around, and saw all the wolves coming to their rescue. The knights and the settlers ran off, leaving Arabah to the wolves.

To this day, the live happily in Arabah. Emma turned out OK and became the mate to Shamus. They had seven pups named Melanie, Shema, Dev, Tex, Zina, June, and Ari. Diana and Rolly had 5 pups called Ki, Jena, Elen, Harris, and Pyper. Amelia found love with a wolf named Robinfur, and they had three pups, Cate, Thistlefur, and Jolie. All of the pups descended from the five inherited the coat color and power. Arabah was repopulated, and never fell into the hands of humans ever again. The humans moved far away, and hoped to NEVER EVER encounter anything like the wolves again.

"The cookie thief"
One day, Mrs. Howard made a hot batch of choclate chip cookies. She told her family to wait until after dinner to have a cookie. She had kept her eye on the cookies, but the next time she looked, there were five cookies missing! She couldn't decide who took the cookies, so she just waited. And then there were none. All of the cookies were gone! She looked all throughout the house, and she finally found the culprit. The family dog had stolen all of the cookies! She looked at the dog and sighed. "Oh well, at least SOMEONE enjoyed the cookies!"
