I'm leaving cs, so I'm holding a goodbye contest, with all my pets and items as the prize!
The characters that I get from here will be used for art on the Deviantart account I'm planning to open,
where I'll hopefully draw them a lot c:
I'm ofcourse not leaving before I close this contest and the winners has been given their prizes. xD

Oh, and english is not my mother language, so pleace excuse me if it's not perfect ^^;>

What I'm looking for:
I'm looking for original characters that are to be used in art etc.
It's not very likely that I'll roleplay them and such, but I might write stories and I'll use them in drawings.
That's why it's extra important that the design is unique, but not to complex.
I don't want premade lines. Everything has to be your original work.
I'm going to judge based on the design more than on your level of art (though ofcourse it's a plus if the drawing is well made).
I'm open to pretty much any species, though what I would like to see is humans, dragons, cats (big or small), dogs or maybe wolves, foxes, deer or bears if the design is good.
If you want, you could try an anthro to. They can be awsome or awfull to me, all depending on the design.
To be honest, I'm looking more for the idea.
It'll be a great plus if you write a little about the basic concept of the character.
Like it's special treats and such, if they are a little twisted in some way etc. I'm looking for unique and new ideas.
What I don't like very much:
× Neon colors (bright colors that hurts my eyes)
× I prefer if the character itself is naturally colored (dragons is an exeption i guess), but they can have colored clothes (if human)
× Sparkle characters
× Common characters without personality or depth
× Random accessoaries without some kind of funktion or story
× Animals with colthes (exeptions can be made) or human looking hair on animals - Anthros is an exeption.
× Modern time humans (I prefer more like fantasy ones, but modern ones can be cool to if they have the right design)
× Gothich, emo, steampunk and all these different styles (no offense, it looks really cool in real life, but I'm not currently looking for it on a character)
× Rainbows
× And, I don't want to scare you from adding accessories, I like them, but only when they make sense ^^
BUT, these are guidelines, not rules, so feel free to be creative c:

♪ The main tip is: Do Not Overdo It. I like creepy stuff, but only when it makes some kind of sense (well, like I don't think a character would have use for 14 eyes and 3 heads for example.)
♪ Natural and semi natural designs. At least for the markings.
♪ Accessoaries that makes sense (a wolf with a weapon that it obiviously can't use, like a bow, does'nt to me)
♪ A little creepyness
♪ Pointy teeth, lots and lots >:D
♪ I kind of like twisted stuff (ok, I like it a lot c;), like a screwed up mind or something.
♪ But I don't want all my characters to be creepy and dark shaddows (I might become one myself o_o), so if there are many enteries that look like that, it could be a great idea to make a lighter one c:
♪ As for colors, light cream and browns. Pastells, mixed with darker colors look great if it's done the right way.
♪ Feel free to look at real animals, it's acctually best that if you decide to draw for example a dog, take a look at the normal patterns of the coat of the breed you're doing. It's a great source of inspiration, and it usually looks good c:

(But you can choose anyone you would like, as long as the original artist allows you to use it.)
Also, it would be good if you informed me if the lineart is allowed to be used outside cs or not. Because if it's not, I would have to draw a new reference if your design were to win.

13/3: I updated the dislikes a little, and added likes.
I felt I had to give you some kind of information at least ^__^

12/3: I just realised not everyone wants 800 omgsc-uc pets.

Some ideas immedietly came to my mind when I saw them.
Though I would propably change Greysons markings to something natural if they win c:

The scar on his eye is also a great addition, that gives the wiever an idea of how though he have had it even before reading his story. (:

The saberteeth gives him a nice twist and he also made a personality come to mind when I saw him.
