Never joined anything like this before, but here seems to be a good place to start since it's very fresh in my mind.

What Book Are You On: Halfway through the first, have the second ready to begin
Other: I wouldn't say that Yes!!!! Im a Fanatic For The Trilogy! but that's what I voted because it seemed stronger than just 'yes, it's good'.
I have seen both the Swedish and American films. Admittedly I got into the trilogy in the first place because of my huge all-consuming crush on Rooney Mara (playing Lisbeth in the American version, for those of you who watch a film for the story and not the actors, I hear it does happen sometimes... XD), however I watched the Swedish version too, and I also loved Noomi Rapace (Swedish Lisbeth) however I couldn't be objective when watching it because she looked very much like a childhood friend of mine, and I found it very hard to step back from the associations I automatically had with her. In a way it made me feel for her, in a way it made it harder to accept some of the things she did. I watched the Swedish version first and the American version only a few days later, and although I feel like I should be loyal to Rooney Mara and say I liked her version better, I think I preferred the Swedish one. Maybe it was the fact that they were actually speaking Swedish that leant more feeling to it, that you could really believe you're there with them in Sweden (although the American version was also filmed in Sweden, of course). The Swedish version seemed a bit more succinct, in a way I can't quite put my finger on. That being said, I'm now reading the first book and my mental images of the characters all correspond to the actors from the American version, not the Swedish.

... I think I wrote an essay. XD

The trailers looked really good, I'll probably end up watching them on netflix or something.

A kitten is the most irresistible comedian in the world. Its wide-open eyes gleam with wonder and mirth. It darts madly at nothing at all, and then, as though suddenly checked in the pursuit, prances sideways on its hind legs with ridiculous agility and zeal. ~Agnes Repplier

What Do You Guys Think Of Lisbeth Salander??

I personally think she is the most original crime character. She has the crime vibe herself with her sly sneeky ways but in the first book she is solving a crime. LOVE IT :D

I loved the character of Lisbeth- but again, initially, it had more to do with my thing for Rooney Mara, which was what drew me to the series originally. Having read the first book, I'm forming more of an opinion of the author's vision of the character rather than my own opinion of the film version/s. I can't say much about my opinion of her in relation to the storyline, because I still haven't finished the first book, but I'll tell you this; in some places, her personality and attitude is very like the way mine was when I was mentally ill. It's not a good thing. It actually borders on painful to read, because in places the things she says and the things she does reads like my own autobiography and it actually hurts because I can see that I've been in a similar state of mind- a state that I wouldn't wish on anyone. It makes me both sympathise and empathise with her, on certain levels.
