I made this because I am seeing more and more people with braces.

If you have braces or are getting braces post here and talk about your experiences.

I am getting braces in February and i'm not scared, I can't wait to get them. I hate my teeth and I really hope my braces will fix them.

I've had them since April 2011.

Are you scared?;
Scared? No. But I hate them. I've had wounds in my mouth constantly since I got them. I lost five kilos when I got them, because I couldn't eat anything at all. You lose the little square things(that are attached to your teeth) all the time, and the wire keeps popping off. Basically, it's just one, big torture device, and I'm sure you will hate them from day one too.
I still can't eat properly, and while they made the teeth in the upper part of my mouth straight, they actually made my lower teeth more messed up. I only had ONE weird tooth in my lower mouth: Now all of them sits like I dunno what. They look like a fence some drunk guy made. And I'm not even kidding.

I am going to have mine for another year or two, but I can get the treatment called off any moment I want: And I'm planning to do so, because I have nothing BUT trouble with them.

If you have them what colour are they?;
Plain silver. My dentists doesn't want to spend more resources on braces than absolutely necessary.

It doesn't help that my dentists always gets mad at me whenever I lose one of them squared. >:U Not my problem their glue is malfunctioning.

My friend has to have them for 3 years and I am not sure how long I will have to have them but when you had them done did they hurt?
