About me and my chihuahua

I love chihuahuas obviously even if it isn't my own I always want to pet them. The pic above is my dog Chica as a puppy. When i brought her home she didn't even weigh a pound and she fit in the palm of my hand. She is a lazy dog and likes to lay around. She doesn't like to play with toys sadly nor stick her head out the window which I find strange but she is weird. She had come home with her brother and sister but sadly they were separated. I will go into depth more about her later but right now I am interested in receiving member



Briefing
I am obsessed with my chihuahua and decided that it was about time I made a chihuahua club. I am looking for members who have the same passion as I do for the breed. Here you can discuss anything that has to do with Chihuahuas including the discussion of your very own chihuahua or if you don't have one that is also fine! Other few things to discuss is training your chihuahua because these poor things get bad raps so this is also a place that could give you tips. If you have knowledable facts please feel free to share. If you have drawings of Chihuahuas I would love to see them as I will also be posting links to a few chihuahua editables that I have done. There will also be events to join in on so look for them.

Fact of the day

It is rumored that Chihuahua's are related to Fennec foxes and was used by the Aztecs to keep them warm at night.

Events

This months event is cutest chihuahua but please only submit your own pet and for those who don't own your very own chihuahua I will be setting up a drawing contest. The event will start as soon as the club has 5 members. Prizes will be handed out.

Aww that is sad...parvo is awful I used to work at a pet store and a lot dogs there would get parvo and died. I would love to hear more about him.^_^

Yea it was sad when he died. He was always so hyper & he looved to curl up around everyones necks. & he'd sit on my chest to watch tv & lay down & go to sleep(I'm a chick so..well, you get my point here right?) When I was around he always wanted to be around me. & He loved loved loved chasing people. I remember once I was babysitting the daughteer of his owners & he disappeared. I was running all over calling his name & he didn't answer. I went in the little girls room to get her shoes on so we could see if he was outside, I looked at her stuffed animals, & Scrappy was in the middle of them sleeping. All you could see was his little head poking out.

Haha awww that is soo cute I had someone take my chihuahua off the chain once in my apartment complex I freaked out soo bad I thought she was lost forever and once I went looking for her and I found a bunch of kids with her. She is very friendly so it is easy for anyone to pick her up. I like the fawn colored chihuahua they are so cute! I so understand the cuddling thing they are the best dogs to cuddle with mine rubs her head on my neck and sleeps on my belly! It is so sad that you don't get to hold him anymore I am thinking about getting another chihuahua and naming him Furby!

Yea Scrappy was as friendly as can be. He tried to look tough at first. & yea they are.

A lot of people think chihuahuas are evil but no one realizes that it isn't the dogs fault if they are mean it is the owners and that you can have a friendly chihuahua....it sounds like scrappy had good responsible owners and that you were so luck to have been apart of his life!^_^

Yea. Its the same with all dogs. Behavior depends on owner. & yea his parents were navy people. & I was. He was a great dog.

About your chihuahua(again only if you want to share or if you own one): His name is Peanut, and we have reason to believe he is mixed with a fruit bat or fox. He is the sweetest thing ever, but only to me. He doesn't like strangers, and he only likes me and my mother. (~Nightshayde~ too.)
When we got him, we were just watching him for an old guy getting surgery in his hip. He was really mean, and very vicious. Later, the old guy said he couldn't take care of him, so we got to keep him. He warmed up to us after we shared Tuna Fish. (True story.)
