This isn't exactly relative to any of my Very Rare Hoards but it has been my latest obsession and it is concerning at least 2 Rares List pets. And I didn't know where else I could post this but had to share my story somewhere. XD
I have this particular Black Advent here named Cole.
Pet's name: ♥Cole, Zytle, & Downcast♥
I can not trade him away as he is particularly important to my daughter. So, there he sits, in various locked dressed up groups over the years but never really seemed to fit. He felt like he needed his own special group to signify his importance as not just another pretty face in a dressed up hoard. So I placed him in his own group... all alone. Then the problem of figuring out what to call the "group" and what else to put in there as he just looked so lonely. So I decided, with my fixation on the number 3 that I'd find two more Black Advents and make it a group of Three.
So off I went for weeks and weeks of relentless searching and trading and obsessing and finally ending up practically selling my soul to get two more BA's. Their names were Zytle and Downcast. I dressed them as Cole's admirers and there they sat. No matter how hard I tried I just felt nothing for them. They haunted me and mocked me. Sitting there being all expensive and taunting me with what I could trade them off for. Finally I broke down and got rid of them both resigning myself to leaving Cole alone in his special group once again. But by that time we now had 2 different BA Plushies. So I gave him some plushies to keep him company.
But I still felt like a doofus having a "group" with one pet in it. And I wanted two dogs to sit on either side of Cole. So I got the idea to find a true date Blue Rose because that would sit to Cole's right. And I already had a Green Nosed Neon Leopard dog to go on his left. So again I was off to the trade forum and auction forum searching and searching for a truedate Blue Rose. Finally this morning I got a trade for a
re release Blue Rose. And I'm sitting here trying to decide if I want to trade for this dog and then try to date swap or if that's just going to add to my aggravation since so many are misinformed on the Advent Re Release and think re releases are worth far less than true dates.
As I'm sitting here I decide to place the Green Nosed Leopard in the group with Cole and dress him up at least as a start. Something makes me go to the Trade Forum once again. And there on the first page of my search is someone offering a truedate Blue Rose.
Even crazier, they specifically want a high value Advent that I happen to have an extra of. So I hold my breath close my eyes and click "Send Trade" And then I wait figuring it'll be another trade left to rot or just another endless editing back and forth fiasco that finally finishes when I cancel in frustration.
Instead, and to my amazement, the trade is accepted and now my little group of three is finally complete and I adore them more than anything else at the moment.
