Ok, I have a little quirk that I have discovered, and I'm not sure if it's me being crazy, or something that genuanly happens.

So, Ex and I were at the store with my mom and she made a comment. I went to say something back to her, which probably would have gotten me a look and a lecture once we got in the car. But, when I went to open my mouth to say it, I lost my voice and my mouth closed. I felt like Ex did it, and he didn't deny it when I asked him.
Also, I wasn't paying attention to wear I was walking, and a abruptly stopped and turned. I looked down and saw a huge puddle that was really gross and nasty right wear I would have stepped when if I hadn't turned.
I have also said things that Ex was saying in my head, without me really even meaning to, but I think that one was just a coincidence.

I think I'm just over reactting or crazy, but, in short, I feel like Ex sometimes takes over me right before I do or say something that I will regret later. I just want to know if this is a normal thing, or if I'm just wierd.

XD It could simply be that your mind is used to the fact that you have a guild whom gives you advice on what and what not to do, and now you're sub-consciously doing it (making more correct choices that don't land you in trouble) without knowing it?

I didn't mind. I know he was right when he did that. He is the wiser, more controled of the two of us. I just have this feeling that he has been around the block once or twice.

Which reminds me... If you believe in rencarnation, or the like, do you think your deamon is the same in multiple lives?
I know it's not really a real question, but I was thinking about it today. Some of my guy friends were talking about what they think they were in past lives, and how supposedly the people you know now you knew in a past life. And I wondered if it was the same with daemons. I just get this vib that Ex is so much wiser than me, I'm your concionsus, you fail at spelling, and it's my job. and like his has gone through this whole process before. I think that's why I figured out his form and his name so fast, because he already knew it. I just want to see what people have to say. I'm Catholic, so I'm technically not supposed to believe in reincarnation and such, but it's hard not to from the vibes I get from Ex.

Possibly not. I don't honestly know whether or not those who believe they have been reincarnated share the same personality as their last life, but I'd put money on the answer "no". I'm not 100% sure, as your personalities may be different thus resulting in a different daemon.

And are Catholics not allowed to believe in reincarnation? News to me *religion fail*

To answer your question, I don't believe in reincarnation, but if I did, I don't believe that my daemon would be the same. I'm of the mindset that daemons are purely imaginary creations of the daemian, they're sparkly imaginary friends. And even if I believed your "soul" is reincarnated, your essence, your memories and thoughts of the previous life would be lost and so would your daemon. Although in the new life your new daemon would have the same function and probably be formed using the same parts of your brain, I don't think it would be the same daemon, in my opinion anywho.

Remember your daemon is you ;D he only knows as much as you do. So give yourself some credit, you're wiser than you think =)

My reincarnation beliefs are a lot different from that, because I'm sort of kind of a Deist and my personal beliefs have been influenced by my mom and her Gay Best Friend's beliefs.

I love the idea that people are reincarnated in groups so that they can continue to know each other, but that's not how my beliefs go.

For me, it's really something more of a... Hmm. It's hard to explain. Every human has a "self," which to some people might be their soul but to others might just be their identity, and I imagine that animals to a degree have them too (depends on the species, I suppose, as to how much "self" and therefore how much self-awareness and whatnot). But instead of the single "self" being just plunked from human to human and from animal to animal, I believe sort of in this universal mass of "self"ness to which your "self" returns when you die. Each time something is born, a part of this "self"ness pinches off (bad wording, but you get the appropriate mental image) to inhabit the otherwise mindless body. It might not-- probably won't-- pinch off in exactly the same way it did before, so in my reincarnation beliefs, I might for example have the "self" which was contains pieces of a beetle, an Andrewsarchus, four proto-horses, several foxes, a few humans, etc etc etc. And someone else might have other pieces of the same individual beetle or Andrewsarchus or proto-horse or fox or human. You get the point. And as you develop, you become your own unique person (/animal, whatever) and add more essence of you to the "self," so when you die, you return more "self" than it originally took to make you. Then you might have memories of "past lives" as a human or an animal, perhaps depending on what unique "self" makes up a large part of yours, which explains memories you have that you couldn't possibly have and people you remember meeting that are long dead and people you remember being before you were you.

It's confusing. A visual would go a long way. I don't have the skills to make a decent visual for it, though. D:

Oh! So to answer the question, no, I don't believe so. :3 Mami is a mental construct which is a representation of my "self," which includes my experiences and personality and is so much more than I might have been in all of my "past lives" put together. If I was (as I suspect) someone with a close connection to Theodore Roosevelt in the past, my personality likely was not the same, and therefore my daemon would not take the same form. Also, I would have been a different person entirely, enough so that I'm really having a hard time saying "I would have been," so I don't think s/he would be the same as Mami at all. There might be similarities, but only insofar as my Masumi is like your Xehol.

Kheisa do you mean like the "Gaia Theory" like in Final Fantasy: Spirits Within? In that film your soul is just an offshoot of the planet's soul and when you die you return your memories and things to Gaia, "feeding" her, so to speak. I've always liked those ideas, they're rather touching

I've never watched that (or even heard of it until now, lol), so I really wouldn't know. x)

I guess it's a similar theory, but I do believe that the Earth is just a hunk of rock that happens to be perfectly suited for life (there's others out there that are similarly suited, waaaay far away). I'm not sure about a planet's soul. I could see a plant having a soul, as far as it goes that plants actually do cry out in pain, only they use chemicals instead of anything audible. But a planet...? And "feeding" its soul? I dunno. It may just be funky wording, but it sounds to me much more frilly and intentionally self-gratifying than my beliefs-- no offense meant, of course.

Oh no, none taken and I hope you took no offense, either - it's just an idea made for a film as far as I know; the feeding was that Gaia relishes the experience and memories we have when we're alive. It was the idea of "pinching off" that made me think of it, and I was wondering if you ideas and beliefs were a similar concept because if it was I could hunt out some pictures to save you some doodling time if you were going to do that. Nevermind though!
