Oh, you can have eels in your tank. Snowflake eels are the best suited and much more chill. The guy I showed, not so much. They are very pugnatious, and can really rip your flesh and do damage with it's sharp teeth. You really need to do research if you want an eel. Some that are found in the pet trade really shouldn't be. Ribbon eels die since they are sensitive, even though they are pretty. Some are just so big (eleven foot giant moray, whut whut). Others are too dangerous. All are major escape artists, all need meaty seafood fed to them, all need hiding spaces.

The teeth are like shards of glass since they are see through, which makes it awesome :'D. I especially look forward to that grouping of eels, since they all have sharp teeth and hooked jaws that can't close.

This is a good pet:

I know you can have eels, but I wanted a moray X3 And I only had 30 gallons of fresh water. Plus, my mom nearly had a heart attack when she saw the pet shop eels XD
Though I did get away with having a Dragon Gobi for a while. I snuck it home in my big bag o'stuff. They aren't eels, but they're close enough for me to be happy X3

Almost all pet eels (like the snowflake) are morays. They are moray eels ;D. There is no species just called "moray". That's like saying I have a pet canine. Canine can mean domestic dog and all of it's breeds, tanuki, bush dog, maned wolf, jackels, etc.

XD well then, aren't I silly? I guess there was a specific one that I'd wanted, but it was one of the bigger ocean dwelling ones. I remember it being huge and salt-water only X3

That's what many people do. Using their daemons as a way to boost confidence in a sort of security blanket type way. It's perfectly understandable and if it works, why the heck not do it! And you can have as many comfort forms as you'd like. Invisible animals can be anything at any time ;D. As long as you don't expect or try to interpret the supah speshel wolf color, it shouldn't matter. We (meaning me) are not too much into symbolism outside of the animal's behavior, but to each his own. A few people give meaning to projected scars and the like. If that's what you'd like in a comfort form, it's all good. There are no rules in comfort, as long as you don't think it fits simply because it "feels good". Then you might have problems ;D.

LOL...supah speshel. XD Giant anteaters are amazing, by the way. That's such an epic form. o.o;;

But Andrea, clearly viper morays are the best candidates for hugging. ;) Just look at that little face~

My personal favorite morays are dragon morays [because it's probably my One-True-eel-Form, after researching them], giant slender morays [deep sea dwellers up to 14 feet long], and even though these aren't morays, gulper eels. And apparently dragon morays can come in white. I frickin' love eels. And if anyone wants an eel but doesn't want a big one needing a giant tank to compensate for its size, chestnut morays grow anywhere from five to ten inches in length as an adult, maybe up to a foot every so often. But of course, I don't know much about them aside from that, so trust Andrea when she talks about the best tank choices and which are temperamentally sound. Apologies for coming along late with a reply to the subject.
