I don't think I've heard of "chav" dogs cause I live in the US, but I think most people do use bull-type dogs to fight illegally.

Oh yeah I forget people can't see into my head(!). "Chav" is the UK version of "redneck" in it's connotations and usage.. A chav is a stereotype of an uneducated usually young person who drinks too much, doesn't work, causes trouble and wears cheap sports brandwear. I have a chavvy accent myself, and in my group of friends they call me the common muck chav because of it and the area I come from. :3

AWWW, BUT BETH. CHAVS ARE SO SQUISHY AND SORTA CUTE IN A LAME WHITE BOY WAY. I have the ungodly urge to, when I visit England, emasculate a group of chavs by saying how squishy and white and not scary they are. I don't know, they don't strike me as very threatening. I've lived near scary gangbangers (America's gangbanger definition, please XD) and cholos and a few of those silly neo-nazis. Chavs don't give me the same vibe at all. I also secretly want to make an ass of myself over yonder by going stereotypical and being a loud and rambunctious American :'D. If that'll happen, who knows. Not sure I could draw that much attention to myself without blowing my cover XD. But I really want to experience not fitting in at all and being a stranger and a novelty. Never got to feel that (or if I did, I don't remember).

1. Yes, but there has to be justification if it's a settled form if it's as significant a colour pattern as that. Colour plays a role in the way an animal behaves and survives in the wild, so it impacts on the analysis. If you're taking it for fun than it can be anything goes, though daemians tend to not be big on brightly coloured non-natural markings :)

2. Reverse Analysis. Fill out one of these forms, and post it on TDF or here, and we can tell you forms that sound like you. Well, I can't really, I'm bad at it unless we're talking viverrids :P

3. It is possible, but it's more important that the animal's behaviour tallies with your personality than that the form is comforting. Some people consider their settled form to be their comfort form :B Mmm, fluffy bearkitty <3

4. They might, they might not. Some people's daemons automatically have different voices to their own mind voice. Mine doesn't really. There aren't really that many rules about voices.

First, you have to remember that what you "see" your daemon as has nothing to do with your settled form. Your personality can settle as a rabbit, but you could spend your entire time projecting your daemon as a lion. Saying "I'm settled as a rabbit" is just shorthand for saying "my personality matches the analysis of the rabbit's traits." Most daemians prefer to project their daemon as their settled form most of the time, however, if they project at all.

With that in mined as they're your imagination, they can be whatever colour you like :3. But the colour of the projected form has no real significance to the analysis - it's more for personal reasons. Lots of people's daemons have red or blue eyes, for example. Unless of course the animal is found like that in the wild and there's a reason or an advantage or disadvantage to if that can be analysed. Say... for example... "spirit bears". Or your maltese king cheetah. Then that could be analysed and could be a viable settled form.

#2. What's a RA?

It stands for Reverse Analysis. You answer a set of personality type questions as detailed as you can, doing it over a few days and checking it to make sure your mood at the time hasn't influenced your answers. Other members will read through it and see if they recognise any traits and will suggest some species or most usually families to look in. If you're going to post it on TDF, please make an introduction first and stay around for the community - they're a nice bunch of people and a lot of effort goes into the site so you can see how it might come across a bit rude to just post an RA and walk out again. I'm not aiming that at you, don't worry! Just in general. :3

#3. Can they settle in their comfort forms?

It is not the daemon that settles, it is you. Your personality settles enough so you can describe yourself with one analysis. It is perfectly reasonable to say that your personality could settle as a form your daemon takes a lot, even for comfort, but it's not a given at all.

#4. Will they automatically sound and act like you? Can they seem older/wiser/etc.?

They're your imagination. They can be whatever you want them to be. Most people find that the daemon they project (imagine out in the real world) is usually more sarcastic and makes sly comments at other people. It's thought that this happens because it's the part of ourselves we suppress, so we make the daemon say it, kind of relieving stress, even though no one else can see. They certainly can seem older and wiser that you, but, as they're from your imagination, they only know as much as you do.

I was looking at the terminology and I think the maltese color may just be a vanity form? I'm fairly certain his comfort form switches between a king cheetah and a wolf...like it's weird. I got into a fight a few days ago and felt really threatened and for the first time I sort of...felt? his form. And he was a king cheetah (not maltese) with the mane raised and growling, and I felt much more confident. Does that make sense? But when I'm getting a logic talk, and he's trying to make me see a smarter side of things, I sort of imagine him sitting as a dark gray (maltese-ish) wolf. This could be because my cat (I have an extremely strong bond with him) is a Russian Blue, and their technical color is Maltese.

I just registered and I'm waiting for activation :3 I'm totally stoked to start all of this; ever since I read the DM series I've been convinced I've had a daemon but I never knew that there was a whole community. And it's really, really exciting. I'm just sort of embarrassed that I still don't know his name or form. >.> I feel like I should.

I definitely see him as much more logical, and much less hurried. Though when I get intense emotions, he doesn't always help to deescalate things. Like the other day, when I was completely furious and was actually in a fair amount of physical danger, he was very loud and intimidating. Does that make sense? >.> I feel like I sound like a total noob. Which I kind of am, but I'm not meaning to be.
