Eheh.
Anyway. Read up on my RA, and I'm searching into domesticated Silver Foxes, a fox breed with the red fox gene and a domesticated dog breed =P
As we were told we were something along the domestic lines, and cat doesn't really suit us entirely. We'd rather stay on the canine side of things, and fox seems the most comfortable.
We're used to it, but we're focusing on researching the domesticated silver foxes, see how it goes. :3

Pssst, domestic silver foxes would act the same as red foxes. As from what I recall they're more... tame. xD That's it. If you shoved them back out into the wild, after a few generations they'd still act like red foxes.

Stop.turning.blue. wrote:It was their demeanor and coat color. Just from sparse knowledge it was an expirment, not a species? (and foxes and dogs are physically imcapable of breeding - according to wiki anyway).
It was from stimuli, lack of proper environment, and constant human contact, and inbreeding. It made them look and act like dogs, but - this is just a guess here - they're offspring, etc if thrown into the proper environment would act just as their wild counterparts. If you're a 'domestic' silver fox, you'd still have every capability and tendeceny of a red fox. So if you're not like a red fox...
;0 oh god. Everyone's used to me being an African wild dog on the forum, its a shame seeing as their the most social animal in the world and I'm not. lol.
EDIT they bred only the most tame foxes over and over and ooovvvvvver.
EDIT AGAIN: O: -pokes you toward Cape Foxes- Their very, catlike foxes.
