Does anyone else have issues with parents over what games they buy?
Seriously, I asked my mother to drive me to a Gamestop on Sunday so I could get Gates to Infinity.
Nope, she told me I was too old for Pokémon. Again.
You have got to be kidding me. Mother, I'm old enough to pick what games I want-- be them M or E. I just need a ride since it's too cold to walk.

When I was like 8, yes. My mom wouldn't let me buy some PEGI 7 (roughly equivalent to ESRB E or E10+ depending on which way you look at it) games when I was that age. Although, upon reflection, I'm glad my mom didn't let my buy TLOZ:ST at that age; Zelda getting zapped would've probably scared the life out of me.

I don't have the age problem... My dad had me watch zombie movies with him at the age of four, and got me hooked on Mortal Kombat at... Seven? Anyways, point is that they don't care what I play. Though my interests have changed, I am now more into COD and AC. Those are really the only kind of games I play, so I never have the 'too old' thing.

Huh, I thought I'd heard that they would be releasing AA5 in the US, though...
I really, really hope they still do in any case, because I've been looking forward to it since it was announced.
And Enyo, I sadly have the opposite problem. I can't have my parents with me when I get my M-rated games, or else they question me about them. I usually just order them or go get them myself.
As for Gates to Infinity, I really want it but I'm going to wait a while. I have gotten a lot of games lately.

I hope its released in America as well, though I'm almost certain its only being released in Japan. From what I've heard Pheonix is returning as an attorney with a new sidekick. Some more updates on the release can be found here.

My parents don't care what we buy (my brothers and I), but if they see swearing when they watch us play, they comment on it, so we end up playing it either with headphones or when they're not around :P

The other day, I was showing my mom my Starly, because she was evolving, and she gets this look on her face. I smile at her and she goes, "Your chicken just exploded." I was laughing so hard omg xD

My parents are crazy when it gets to me wanting to buy new video games. I can't imagine what they would do if I asked for a rated M game. I've never gotten to play one just because as soon as I ask they flip out. Heck, asking for a T rated game makes them have to do a lot of research on it.

My parents have never cared about the ratings of the games I play, I saw them all growing up anyway since my older brothers are into video games too, and my younger brother has been playing grand theft auto since he was two xD so I can play whatever I feel like.

I wish my mother was so open-minded.
She's very judgmental about what games I play-- be them too old or too "young>"
I can only imagine her distain for me playing Pokémon is rooted in the fact that I've played Pokémon since I was very, very young (way back too the first games). She probably looks at my playing of the game series now, be it main series or spin-off, as a sign of regression rather than maturing.
It's just frustrating since I'm the one paying for it. I'm the one buying ti with my own money-- all she has to do is drop me off at Gamestop while she goes to Famous Footwear tomorrow, not even out of the way. I might just end up getting on my bike and riding the five miles myself; it's cold outside, but I'll manage.
