Yeah, I feel the same way with that. So far you've put words to pretty much all my thoughts on music I don't like listening to the radio either for the same reason. I rarely ever do unless someone else happens to put it on while I'm in the car or something. But other than that, I carry my cds with me everywhere xD

Song reccomendations: Just and Creep by Radiohead, Yeah Buddy, Get Off My Ghost Train and The Lighthouse by Pulled Apart By Horses, also anything in Origin of Symmetry and Showbiz by Muse, their older stuff is much better (in my opinion) than the last two albums.

I haven't heard if those bands, thanks I will definately look them up!
And I agree, I totally like Alternative for the same reasons! Bands have so much room for individuality, whereas I feel like country and rap all sound kinda the same.. In my opinion.

You're welcome Pulled Apart By Horses are a fairly new band but I really like them. They're from my town as well. I'm surprised that you haven't heard of Radiohead though...
