Today was the Fun Show. I think Cowboy and I did really well. I placed in the top three for five out of seven classes.
One blue, three reds, one yellow, one pink and one white.
The blue was in the Clipboard race.
Reds were in cloverleaf, poles and the flag race.
Yellow was in keyhole.
Pink was in Simon Says.
White was in Apple Bobbin'.
{ ^^Cowboy decided he wanted to try to pull the apple off the string, lol.^^}

Plus the other girl who rides with me, on the fancy Morgan horse,borrowed Cowboy. Jack, her horse, refused to even go through the gate from the holding pen to the arena. She rode Cowboy in the poles and got a blue -.-

My Mom paid quite a bit of money for me to go to a week long, overnight camp at the barn I ride at.
Since I was the only person who could attend the barn owner decided to cancel it. -.-
BUT, my instructor managed to convince him to let me use that money to lease Cowboy!!
Now I can ride him pretty much whenever I want, as long as my Mom's there. :D
{I'm leasing him from now until around Halloween :3 }
I'm so excited!

I watched a couple Julie Goodnight shows. I realized Cowboy rides better using lead rein instead of direct, if I'm trying to turn him with two reins. Plus I finally found out how to get him to canter. I squeeze with my outside leg on the "second button", push my reins forward, smooch and start moving my body like it would if he was actually cantering. I got him to canter 2 or 3 times, besides when he started cantering towards home after the barrels and the clipboard race.
I also got him walking over the bridge, turning inside the box without stepping out, backing and making 5,6 and 7 steps into the box. Now we just have to work on his trotting {which gave me super sore legs -.- }, turning and the gate. :)
Plus he loaded without a fuss and didn't refuse to get in his stall or enter the arena. <3
