So lately I've been wanting to draw equids, but I'ven't one to draw and I'd feel weird doing fan art for people I'ven't really spoken to yet. So instead I decided to go at horses. I've done a couple lately, but this evening I actually decided to try to make a good one. So, rememberring how my horses used to look better when I was using one of my Breyer Models, I pulled one off the shelf and got to work. Here's what happened:


I got a little off and had to do some improvisation...and I rushed the mane and tail, but I can fix those easily; I've never had issues with manes and tails.
Before I continue work on it, what do you guys think? Anything you could suggest to help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and I'll post my reference too. Just give me a couple minutes so I can take a photo of it and all that.

Very good, I have a few little sketches in my gallery that show the rough basics of the horse if you'd like to take a look, they might help
