Why do you want to join? Religion and culture have always fascinated me. I love learning more about them, and enjoy getting to discuss things like beliefs, traditions, experiences and ideas with other people who are like-minded. Honestly, until I realized there isn't a darn thing you can do with a degree in it, I wanted to major in religious studies. xD

Will you try to stay active in the discussions here? Is there anything about your activity we should know? I will definitely try to stay active in the discussions, and bring up topics or questions when I can.

Extra Comments; I don't really belong to any organized religion, and never have(wasn't raised religious), but I've kind of compiled things from the various faiths and heritages that make up my family... I am heavily involved in my Native heritage, and am learning about and following Ojibwe traditions and beliefs, with hints of Catholicism and traditional rootwork melded in. This feels like the best 'fit' for me, like these are the tools and traditions I'm meant to use to communicate with God and spirits... it just works for me, so I do it!

I am much surprised! I honestly thought I might have to close up the thread, but I am feeling can see the continuous growth and now discussion interest is kicking back! Man, This might actually come back to life bigger than I thought it would!

Well, on the new presented question. I honestly would have quite a hard time having belief swayed. I have had quite a bit of trouble settling into one specific belief due to bad experiences and witnessings having to do with religions. But, if I had to, I would let myself accept a religion for someone special or some big reason.

I'm happy in my religion. I have a firm hold in it. But I know how many people may not be so firm. You just have to find the right one. One that answers your questions about life.

Yes, I think I agree. I was brought up this way, and so sometimes I questioned if I really believed this, or if it was just what was taught to me with my multiplication tables. Just a way of life. However after being challenged a number of times, and having to either solidify my beliefs, or drop them, I think I've become much stronger in my faith. Currently I think it might be very difficult to change beliefs, but I'm always open to hearing and studying other religions.

Could you change the the Mormon in the members list to LDS/Mormon please?
The church name is not "Mormon church", it is "the church of jesus Christ of latter-day saints" Or lds for short. I just want everyone to know that our name really isn't Mormon.
