I think I just have higher standards than a lot of people on CS. Sorry, writing and all that jazz is a bit more important to me, it's no fun if the people I'm playing with aren't doing it in a way I can understand.
Yeah yeah RPing should be fun for everyone, but when people say that they dont think of the more mature players who WANT to spend an hour or so writing a post and actually do care about a plot and making everything... well, kind of close to perfect.
Yeah I might be on the side of elitist snob, but it's not fun if I cant be.

Shadows all around you as you surface from the dark
Emerging from the gentle grip of night's unfolding arms
Darkness, darkness everywhere, do you feel all alone?
The subtle grace of gravity, the heavy weight of stone

You don't see what you possess, a beauty calm and clear
It floods the sky and blurs the darkness like a chandelier
All the light that you possess is skewed by lakes and seas
The shattered surface, so imperfect, is all that you believe

Yeah, I sorta agree with you. I mean, unless you think it is fun, what is the point?

And then everyone's always so snappy with their RPs, I dont mind waiting a few days if I know the other person's post is going to be good. In my experience all the best RPers tend to be moody and write when they feel like it anyway.
I durrrnooo... I'm a grump right now anyway =P

Yeah. I get what you mean. I hate it when people are like "rawr rawr rawr POST NOW!" I mean, there is this important thing called muse. Sometimes you just don't have it for that rp at the moment or, forbid the thought, you have a life.

That's why I'm starting to like 1x1s better. You don't have to worry about how literate or not literate your partner is because you chose to RP with them because you know they can keep up with you. Another thing I like about them is that both you and your partner don't have to worry about posting back right away. I like to take days to reply and don't mind if my partner does as well.

And so on that topic, I would be interested in doing an asylum 1x1 with you if you want Tea.For.Two. I have the perfect character for that already

Everytime I try a 1x1 rp my partner bails before we can ever get it started. Depressing really. Plus I like the diversity of more people. Oh, if you make a public Asylum RP, I wouldn't mind joining. Sounds fun. :3

Yeah and that's a huge downside to doing 1x1s. They either are amazing and go on for forever or they just never make it off the ground. It's nice to do public ones like you said, to see all the different people. I enjoy RPing with new people constantly. It makes life interesting. Now if only those RPs would last :/

Oh, It makes me sad when really awesome RP's take off then slowly die. Then they restart or whatever and it's never as good as the first one.

I vary on how much I like to have in a reply. I would perfer three lines of really good meaningful stuff over three paragraphs of meaningless fluff. But I usually like the range of four lines to three paragraphs for post lengths best. I don't like having to wait for days to post though, that might be why I tend to be a bit shorter of a poster than some. (three or four lines is a good four minute post for me, and I like to be fast about it.) I like to make lots of posts in a day. (I have lots of roleplays to help with that too.)

I also hate it when roleplays just get started and then die. It becomes very annoying.

Starbase Typhon is a roleplay run by me, off site. It is Star Trek based (but not the new movies, as you will see) and it definetly needs people who are willing to be active, write with great grammar, and of course, are semi-literate or above. Format is play by Nova, which involves multi-person posts that are a different way of doing things that here of CS. But it's lots of fun, and we need long term people who will help us complete our missions. As the commanding officer of Typhon, I invite anyone who would like to give it a try to please apply! (Warning that quality of applications is strictly judged. Very strictly judged.) The link is in the image.
