Thanks So B. It! I actually finished Halt's form this time! XD When I closed the old one down I realized the entire time it only had his basic information!

{Just to let you know, yes, this is loosely based on the new movie Captain America, however it is not a roleplay about WWII, it is actually about WWIII.}

"A new breed of super soldier."

That was what they told you. You've been striving for respect for your entire life. Either you were scrawny, completely normal, or something that the rest of the world just didn't seem to like, you hated who you were. Maybe even more so than you do now.
There is a war brewing. Europe is rising, now. Only it's not just the Germans this time, and it's not the Nazi's. It is an organization that goes by the name of Saber. It's the general thing: the entire continent realized that they all wanted power, money, and fame. So what reason was there to not band together? Unfortunately, they didn't really have a reason. To add to this unfortunate event, Europe currently has one of the most highly thriving Economy's in the world. So with all the money that they have together, it doesn't exactly put them at a disadvantage for weapons or any sort of bribing.
It's the world and it's armies and Europe and whatever they can muster, which is a lot.

That's where you came in.

Striving for any form of adoration, you were. You've now achieved that. The entire world has made you their crutch. You lead the armies, you devise plans for war.

"You don't like who you are, do you?" ". . .No, sir." "Well I can offer you an escape from that. You will be adored by billions." ". . . Who are you?" "I? Oh, let me explain this simply. I'm the key to your new life."

You were found in the all the different governments records. They chose you for their experiment. At first you were all for it, and maybe you still are, deep down. You're saving lives, you aren't hated anymore. But then again. . . you're not exactly you.
You were taken to a chamber, an all white chamber that resembled all too closely the laboratories you see in movies. That was where you began to get a little frightened. They injected the proper chemicals into you to keep you safe during the cell-fusing process. Then you were put in this awful steel coffin and gassed out.
Some were injected with things intended to triple your physical and mental abilities. Some had their DNA fused with that of an animal that fit your personality and was equally intelligent. Others were given superhuman abilities, such as x-ray vision or telepathy. However, you were one in 5,990,000,000. Nine other people were mutated in these ways, and you intend to use your new abilities both to your advantage and the advantage of the world.
When you woke up shortly, you were in extreme pain. The very cells in your body had been rocked and mutated to the core. You were no longer that nobody that people didn't like. You were one of the ten, one of the ten people fighting for the worlds freedom, leading the army, saving lives. And yet you aren't entirely happy with yourself, either. There's always that little nagging voice in your mind that misses being that nobody and not always being targeted and putting your life on the line, that little voice that wonders what you could've done in the army or who you could've been if you hadn't been mutated.

But that voice doesn't matter. You're going to save lives.

I have a few fun {hopefully} questions. :3 I think this is on-topic but if not I'll edit. xD I

What is your favorite form of roleplaying? See, I'm a forum-based roleplayer and I love DRoP roleplay {Dragonriders of Pern} but I cannot for the life of me play on a forum like this where the different boards are about CS and there's only a thread or two for the actual roleplay. :? It seems confusing and disorganized to me. I like having a forum where the different boards represent different "areas" to play in and each thread is a different time with only the people invovled in that plot/mini-plot actually posting there. The one time I really enjoyed playing here was when I was part of a Hetalia roleplay, and that was just because of the less-serious nature of a parody-comic-based roleplay I'm supposing.

I know some people love chat roleplay {msn}, email/pm 1-1 roleplay, yahoo groups were big at one point, and others prefer this sort of board for various reasons. What are some of the reasons you prefer the style that you prefer? Do you venture into one or two of the other types of styles?

Do you all prefer book/movie/tv show based roleplays? What about your own character vs a canon character? Or is it all-original from the get-go? Darker stuff or lighter stuff? Romance or not? xD

And how did you start roleplaying to begin with? xD I was a Neopets kid. -shame- And I used their board for roleplaying kind of like this only the threads would go rapid-speed and a whole plot was usually completed in a day. {My name was Dragonkim33 if you ever rped with me?} I never tried Gaia. I learned roleplaying from a great forum-based Harry Potter game called "Wizarding Realm" where you get up the rank system as your writing improves. I was about 'intermediate' level when I left. About nowadays I churn out a regular four paragraphs per post, sometimes more. Which leads me to another question... do you prefer roleplay posts sweet and short, or long and with lots to reply to?

1. Couldn't tell 'ya why, but I just don't get that question xD

2. I only do role plays on CS, and the only one I'd ever venture into would be e-mail R.P.'s.

3. No, I definitely don't. I think that sometimes illiterate role players or a creator with false information about the book/movie/TV show/etc. can easily ruin your thoughts on the original. I think that people should be creative and make their own R.P. I don't mind if you use concepts from one, or loosely base it off of one is fine, they're all good inspiration, however like I said I think that people should mainly use their own creativity.
About the other questions inside that one, I have one main character for fantasies, Echo, who I use, but she is my original, everything about her. And about being darker or lighter, her personality varies on the topic of the R.P. I mean, all of her personality features are the same, but different features can be more or less dominant. The same goes for romance, however for me it's just whatever mood I'm in for and the amount of muse I have.

4. I am an extremely avid writer and I'm sending in some of my writing to hopefully be published in a magazine. I was one day scanning the forums and I stumbled on the human R.P.'s board :3

Hmm its an interesting point you raise there {I have a lot of those same thoughts in regards to fanfiction}. But working within the limitations of a world which has already been created is a great way to further explore a detailed world. Some of my favorite things about fandom are how analytical the fans get. Now, I've never been one for fanficton or for "canon" characters in roleplay but I do enjoy exploring Pern in DRoP roleplays and trying to go deeper into the world that McCaffrey built. For instance, her main characters are mostly gold- and bronze- riders with very little exploration on heroics from other dragon riders. I love dropping my original characters in a setting like that and seeing how they play and bounce off of the limitations and restrictions within that world, trying to find new "routes" so to speak in the vast world that McCaffrey only hinted at or did not explore further. For me, as a fan, I see problem areas within the book I wish to 'fix' or figure out why things work the way they do. And although I like traditional set ups I also enjoy the more free DRoP games when mutations and other colors get thrown into the mix, the sexuality-based Impression gets completely shoved aside, and the limitations built around rank based on colored dragons is challenged completely. Or dragon wars. xD I always enjoyed those as well, dark as they got, when the dragons would be forced to fight each other and flame each other from the skies--something which never happened in the books.

A lot of the problem I have with completely original roleplays are that they are so plot-focused it is really hard to explore every bit and inch of an original character, and also sometimes the plot {frankly} is boring. I always feel as if my character{s} are simply pieces of a puzzle that have to fit in a certain order of things, instead of just living their lives in a more natural flow.

Favorite type of RP:
Oh, I'll do anything. Zoo Animals, Harry Potter, Bleach, whatever. The only thing that bugs me about some movie/book-based RP's is that they allow people to play characters from the original series (which I imagine, though, would make it easier), and then they completely mess-up their personalities. ;3;
Sample of writing:
The topic is dead, but there's some good examples of my writing here. That was such a great RP! I'm tempted to start it up again.
Any semi-lit/lit RPs you have:
Well, my first RP was a Semi-Lit wolf RP called Lunar Reflections. That one was good, but it was pretty slow. One or two new posts a day. Members started drifting away from it eventually, and it closed down. Counting Stars, a Semi-Lit+ dragon riding role-play, was a lot of fun, but it was still kind of slow. The characters hit a problem in one of the mini-plots, and everybody was waiting for someone to post. It was forgotten. Man, though, everybody on their was so awesome, and they were all really good RP'ers. I'll start it up again, eventually. My most successful RP was Metamorphosis, a Lit. shape-shifter RP. One of the most frequently posting users quit, and everyone else followed. It was fun while it lasted, and we got pretty far. So, yeah, I haven't had a whole lot of luck with RP's that I've started. :/ My latest RP was We're off to see the Wizards, a Harry Potter RP, and it was good at first... then it got a little boring. The others seemed to agree with me. Guess what happened to that one? But, I am in the midst of creating yet ANOTHER role-play,"Shades of Gray", it will be an epic-al Bleach RP... Almost done.
