Yeah, it's a box of hardware that gets a program on your TV. It lets you record shows and stuff, and rewind during shows or pause and then fast forward until you are at the live part of the show again. There's a limited amount of space but it still can store quite a lot. You might be familiar with Tivo which is more recognizable, but it has the same stuff as DVR.

I have a question! It might help if I start watching the Doctor Who's with David Tennant in them but what does Allons-y mean? O.o

Edit: And you know, if you think about it, the Doctor really has no reason to keep on living. Now, hear me out before you go, "Yes he does!" I think the only reason the Doctor is doing all these things for humans/aliens/etc. isbecause he is trying to pile up his good things because he is trying to drown out what he did all those years ago. Like on here: http://charliemcdonnell.com/music/ if you listen closely to what it's saying in nightmares it's completely true. The Doctor is simply running from what will always haunt him, what he CAN'T run from. No matter what. It's very depressing but true. The song just made me think about it a little more in depth. (Listen to it! It explains the Doctor head-on.) I think that fact attracted me to the show as well. At least he is TRYING.
