Torchwood is good value (most of it anyway). I'm more of an SJA kinda guy, but there are some beautiful episodes of Torchwood that you can't go past. I'm a bit leery of the new series, because it looks like a huge budget movie and I'm sad that Ianto's cool estate!relatives aren't in it (also Andy).

Also it's full of Americans being really dramatic, but there's no sign of American News Reader Lady D: It's not a proper global disaster until American News Reader Lady says it is.

I watched a few episodes, but didn't particularly like it. Jack was never high on my list of characters that I like, and he functions much better as an annoyance to the Doctor in my opinion. Certain characters need to be with other characters to function, because if they are separate, then they loose any little bit of fun they had.

I love that news lady. c: She's so American, lol. LIke the cliche American everyone else sees.
But I like Torchwood; although it went to crap when {Spoiler for COTE} Tosh and Owen died. That was just stupid. And I've never liked Ianto. But I like Jack maybe, Gwen sometimes, and most of Tosh. I've always loved computer geeks. <3

Haha, I was bored and playing this online game. You have a team, and you can name your team.
I've so far played against 'U.N.I.T.' and 'Gallifrey's Finest'.
So I called mine 'Team TARDIS'. Obviously.

OMG, i love Doctor Who, my friend got me into it but i dont have BBC America so i cant watch it sadly, so i only watch it when i am with her, the last one i saw was one where some people were at this place that was deserted and they had this top secret liquidy thingy, and it would clone them and they got on these metal things to, maybe it like sleeping for them, and The Doctor had to save everyone because the clones and really people were against each other :))
Heyy!! I LOVE trading so please send me a random trade!! I get on CS almost every day, so you wont have to wait long for me to answer the trade:)

I didn't know they were still making Torchwood! I'll have to see about finding it. I agree with the little print though. It also ruins things if you watched the Torchwood: Children of Earth because they kill Inato and Jack disappears to a ship on the end, leaving Gwen and Rece all alone.

Starbase Typhon is a roleplay run by me, off site. It is Star Trek based (but not the new movies, as you will see) and it definetly needs people who are willing to be active, write with great grammar, and of course, are semi-literate or above. Format is play by Nova, which involves multi-person posts that are a different way of doing things that here of CS. But it's lots of fun, and we need long term people who will help us complete our missions. As the commanding officer of Typhon, I invite anyone who would like to give it a try to please apply! (Warning that quality of applications is strictly judged. Very strictly judged.) The link is in the image.

:D?

Fantastic, I love Andy :D The show'll definitely need more solid Welsh policeguys.

Jack does have a different vibe on Torchwood...he's a lot less silly. I prefer him on Doctor Who, but he's still good when he's standing at the top of buildings being all -super serious-. I think it helps not to take Torchwood as seriously as it takes itself :D

The first few episodes are a bit rubbish (ARGH SECOND EPISODE :/). I'm not a huge fan of the first series in general, but Captain Jack Harkness (the second last episode) is one of the most beautiful things. Countrycide is good too :B

My favourite Torchwood characters were Owen, Tosh and Ianto, in that order. So that worked out well for me :/

Day 6 - Least Favourite Character

UGH VICTORIA WATERFIELD WHY ARE YOU EVEN. I didn't really like her when I'd watched random bits of Two's stuff with her in, and then I watched her first story and thought I was going to reevaluate her because she did have a pretty sucky beginning to life on the TARDIS, but then as I watched her episodes consistently all that fell away. She spends a lot of time whinging and being useless, and her entire last story is filled with her forshadowing that she's going to leave. Really clunkily. By saying things like "WHY DO YOU HAVE TO SAVE PEOPLE ALL THE TIME, IT'S REALLY BORING FOR MEEEEE" [/paraphrasing]. Gee Victoria, sorry about that. You're travelling in time and space with an adorkable little man with a rubber face and an equally adorkable Highlander who keeps saving you and looking after you and generally being a wonderful gentleman, but yeah, sometimes you go save people. It must be so hard for you. Yeah, the Daleks killed your dad, but you heard the way the Doctor talked about his family, as if he can never see them again, and I doubt Jamie has any family either.

I also didn't really like Lady Christina Dewatsername from Planet of the Dead either.

Day 6 - Favorite Holiday/Special episode

EVERY EPISODE IS A SPECIAL EPISODE WITH DOCTOR WHO :D

If we're talking the Specials year, it'd be Waters of Mars. It had the best story and it was heartbreaking and it showed a side of Ten that we'd never really seen to that extent before. Which was terrifying and unnerving. Also, there was an Australian in it and that's brilliant :D

Highly Commended goes to End of Time because Wilf and because of all the lovely circular Gallifreyan eye-candy. Omnomnom. Also the Longest Death Scene Ever made me cry for 20 minutes.

If we're talking holiday episodes it'd have to be A Christmas Carol, because of timey wimeyness and whimsy and bow ties and beautiful planet with flying fish and the Doctor has a flying shark drawn cart, your argument is invalid. Also, picture of Sydney :D It was a beautiful love story too, which was really nice.

Highly Commended goes to The Christmas Invasion, because damn I like beginning stories and Ten was hilarious in that. And a bit Arthur Dent.

Day 2 - Favorite Companion

((Sorry, I missed yesterdays doing it now instead))

I would have to say my favorite companion was Donna. Though I really like Sarah Jane in the old ones too, I've seen a bit more of Donna so she gets it. I like how she met the Doctor, then met him again, and then her grandpa met him. That's one lucky family. She's also just so smart, even though I don't think she realizes it.

"Shouting at the world because nobody's listening."

Day 3 - Favorite Villain/Monster/Alien/Baddie of the Week

Ok, hard one...

I think I would have to go with Sontarans. They are very funny and espcially in that last episode I love how to them, "And perhaps one day, You and I shall meet in battle and I will destroy you for the glory of the Sontaran empire." Is good motovation for a child. And how "It is the greatest punishment a Sontarn can endure, to help the weak and sick." I think that they are a bit silly looking too, which is also a bonus. And yes, I have seen other Sontaran episodes, I just don't have the quotes from them memorized, or their locations easily found.

"Daleks, aim for the eyestalk. Sontarans, back of the neck. Vashta Nerada, run. Just run."

In which case you can probably guess which are second and third. The Vashta Nerada were second on my list, being one of the scarier life forms in the fact that they are supposedly on Earth as well. The Daleks claimed third as a classic Doctor Who bad guy, who can just never seem to go away. ((Unless you are Moffat)) The fourth place was the weeping angles, as they are quite dangerous as well. And it was very close between them all.
