I THOUGHT SHE WAS HIS MOTHER AT FIRST. That explains how horrible I am. It wouldn't even make sense. P: But since she's part Time Lord she can regenerate...so the scene at the end of the Impossible Astronaut must be her. I wonder what happens? And what happens to Amy and Rory? Dang summer break D:

And she might've been the little girl in the astronaut suit :3 that would make some sense, when River was like 'Of course' and the bullet didn't kill her...hmmm...

What is this? Thirteen weeks? I don't want to wait that long! Last time I ever watch a British TV show... Pointless rambling aside, I can't watch the episode until tonight. Worked all day yesterday and was so tired I completely forgot about it. Working all day today too, but at least I'm not working tomorrow so I can stay up late and watch it. Although I'm now thinking about waiting a bit if there's not going to be a new one for thirteen weeks. I wonder if I could keep myself distracted for a month or two and not watch it until then...

They split it so we wouldn't have to wait ~ a year between series. For a kid a year is a significant proportion of their life, and the specials don't tide anyone over, so it makes sense to split like this.

Trust, come October, you'll be glad of it when you realise that you can have more Who now rather than in 6 months ;)

I can't believe who River is either. Moffat is a mad set-up genius though. He had to have this cooking for a long time for this to work,even before he took over the main writing duties, then lay down false trails to mislead viewers. Then slap them upside the head with something amazing like that.

1- me too! especially when she pointed to the cot yadayadayada. fillin space here. Yes, maybe she was in her last regeneration, although that's not too likely as we haven't seen her with a different 'face'. Maybe next series is all about them trying to find that person we are talking about? And then it skips to when that person has grown up, a bit, so both amy and rory can still time travel? I think, as River is their child, they can't really get rid of amy and rory too quickly, and get a new companion, because that would also mean getting rid of river, and she obviously plays a huge part in the doctor's future life.
2- I think she must have been, especially due to the baby pictures, and the regeneration...and such.
