Ah, you mean Forward Unto Dawn? It is pretty cool, I will admit. I thought it was very well done, though would have liked to see a little more Covenant. (I also really want to see some live-action Flood, myself.)

Has anyone else seen Halo: Nightfall? It's supposed to provide the backstory for Spartan Locke (the guy you get to play as in Halo 5, it seems).

I actually had to go over to my bookshelf to count how many Halo books I have.
14, and I am still behind with getting any of the new books. xD

I love reading and I ADORE reading the history, plots, and stories about Halo. I really love reading about the covenant species and their stories as well, not many games/books tell too much about the other side and tend to focus on only one group or person. I like how Halo gives detail to just about everyone and everything.

Yeah, true. The way they really flesh out their universe is really cool. I wish they did more of that in the actual games though, because people who only play the games are missing out on a huge chunk of the lore and such. (Like they would never know how Johnson survived the Flood attack in Halo: CE). But they do really expand their universe a lot through other mediums which i think is cool.

Also, have you heard about the announced TV series for it, that Steven Spielberg is supposedly producing?

Bumping because of the new Halo game!
So, as anyone who has kept up with Halo knows that Halo 5: Guardians came out a couple months ago for the Xbox One.
For anyone who has played it, what's your thoughts on it? I haven't had a chance to play it yet, but I've heard it's VERY different from the other games in the franchise.

I watched the cutscenes on youtube since I don't have a xbox one. I was...eh, kinda disappointed (didn't utterly hate it, but I didn't like it either) with how it turned out, I feel that they are kinda screwing with the story. I got new Halo books for Christmas so I am sticking to those.

Halo: Hunters In The Dark and Halo: Broken Circle. Oh my gosh those are my new favorite books.
Broken Circle is ALL about the Covenant which is very nice since you never read that much about them let alone have a entire book just for them. It does have some scenes which is more...violent, compared to the other books (only one majorly towards the end but everything else is Halo level with violence and such). Hunters in the Dark is 50 / 50 on it's focus with it's human and elite cast in it, which is again nice since most of the books focus on the humans alone. I am already re-reading that book for the second time, I like it that much. x3

I haven't watched anything about it because I don't want to spoil anything for me oops. I have an Xbox One, but it's currently preoccupied with another member of my family rip. I've heard how it seemed to change things, though. I dislike how the series has gone more towards the Forerunners. I feel like putting Forerunners in could have been done in a better way, but I don't like the whole fighting-Prometheans deal.

A book solely about the Covenant? Sign me up! It's a cool idea for a series focusing on them- you only really see the human-perspective of things in all forms of media for Halo. I was recently planning on buying all the Halo novels and reading them with a friend, but I don't have any books from the main series except for First Strike haha.

I've completely forgotten about this old thing until I had renewed by obsession by continuously replaying Halo: CE Remastered. So, in an effort to try and get this topic more active, what are your opinions of the remastered versions of the Halo games?
