Welcome to the Fan Club for ABC's hit TV show Castle. I am totally obsessed with the show (if you couldn't tell by my signature). This fan club was originally started by Breeze on this thread but she has since lost interest in the show so I PMed her and asked for permission to start a new thread.

Castle is a comedic crime procedural about a famous mystery novelist, Rick Castle, who is bored with his own success and teams up with the NYPD to help solve the crimes. It is set to start its 4th season on Sept 19th 2011. Each week the show usually focuses on a case and around that are the stories & relationships of the characters as well as the shows long running mystery of who killed Detective Katherine Beckett's mother. That is the shortest way to sum it up in a nut shell without rambling about it for paragraphs. If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it.

Characters & Cast
Here I will post information about the characters on the show and the people who play them.
(this is all a work in progress)

Detective Bekcett Is a tough, smart, homicide detective with the NYPD. She is known for closing cases, and for liking the "freaky ones." Cases that don't fit into a neat box. Justice and the truth are very important to her. She joined the force after the murder of her mother; a case that still hasn't been solved. At first she was annoyed at having to work with Castle, but as the seasons have progressed she has come to realize that they make a good team. She has come to think of him as her partner and, though she won't admit it to him or herself, she is in love with Castle.

Stana Katic:
A Canadian born actress who has most recently starred in the hit romantic movie For Lovers Only. She has also been in Feast of Love, The Librarian: curse of the judas chalice, Stiletto and has a movie coming out soon called The Double. She is involved in the alternative travel project as well as volunteer work at Children's Hosptial of Los Angeles.

Richard Castle is a best selling author of crime novels. He originally meets Beckett when she shows up at a book party wanting to ask him questions regarding a series of murders where the killer is copying murders in his books. Through his connection with the mayor, Castle ends up being able to shadow Beckett as research for his upcoming novels: a series about a Homicide Detective named Nikki Heat, who he bases on Beckett. Through following Beckett, Castle sees the "real" side of the murders he's always written about and in the process ends up falling in love with her. He still shadows her under the pretense of "research", but even he admits its not about the books anymore.

Nathan Fillion
Also a canadian born actor. He has been on TV shows such as Desperate Housewives, One Life to Live, Two guys and a Girl, and Firefly. He's been in movies also: Waitress, Slither, White Noise 2 and Serenity to name a few. He does charity work with KidsNeedToRead.

Detective Espositois a loyal partner and a dedicated cop. Even in the face of adversity, he’s got his game face on and nothing can break him. Before joining the 12th precinct as a homicide detective, Esposito served in the Special Forces and was an officer in the Organized Crime Task Force at the 54th precinct. Esposito and his partner Kevin Ryan work with Beckett to solve murders and bring killers to justice. He may have a bit of a bromance with Ryan but his heart actually lies with ME Lanie Parish. Despite his constant wise cracks, Esposito is very intuitive and has always recognized the romantic tension between Beckett and Castle.

Jon Huertas
A native New Yorker, he trained in Musical Theatre at TCU. He served in the U.S. military for eight years, becoming a veteran of three conflicts, including the 1st Gulf War, before becoming a professional actor. One of his most well know roles (aside from his work in Castle) was in HBO's Generation Kill. He was also the voice of Alberto in Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 and has done voice work on HALO Reach in the popular HALO video game series. He serves as a member on the board of the non-profit organization Puppies Behind Bars.

CONTESTS
I plan on holding contest based on Castle with either pets or CS$ as prizes. When there is a contest, I will post about it here.

Since we don't have Castle til Jan 9th, I figured I would do something here to take up the time.

The contest is to create a group of Castle themed pets. Characters you must include:
Castle, Beckett, Ryan, Esposito, Alexis, Martha, Lanie

Optional Characters:
Gates, Montgomery, Josh, Gina, Ashley, Agent Shaw, Lockwood, Raglan, and anyone else you can think of.

You can use items, but I will not judge solely on item use. I will be looking at how well the pet itself fits the character. You may use any pets (dogs, cats, horses, rats, anything). Rarity will not matter either.

Heya people!
Was -Ziva David- but under a new username now, happy to be a part of the new club as Castle is still a huge obsession of mine. The season 3 final was only recently aired over here so yer, only now know what went down but am excitedly looking forward to the new season and shall be watching it online now so I don't miss anything.
