Yeah, anything that can catch anything on fire, I would think, is not okay. Again, it can be used harmlessly- such as Zisteau making lava walls for decoration and lighting when he "OCD'd" Etho's cave. They weren't there to destroy anything or kill anyone. All of these very flammable things should be used with major caution or not used at all if you have any hint of uncertainty that they won't be perfectly safe.

What about with plugins that disable firespread? On my old server we had that so I used to use lava to decorate sometimes.

I dont think we will need that. All of us are smart enough to know what burns and what doesnt. So we shouldnt need it

I know, but I mean say you have a wood house and you want some crazy lava fountain in the middle of it, it would keep your house from combusting. I think it's nice to have those kind of options, excuse my unorthodox way of decorating

i like the original version of minecraft, where you have to accompany the elements with your decor. So like i wouldnt even dream of a lava fountain in a wood house

Personally I really appreciate the plugin. It's nice if one would uncoordinatedly add a fireplace to their house, or lightning strikes their house or something

It did me many favors back in the day.

I can definitely see the upside of having no firespread

(brace yourselves I'm about to make another Mindcrack reference for like the twentieth time today)

Mindcrack had no firespread for a while, which is really convenient with lightning- because if you aren't on went lightning hits your house and starts it on fire, and some people might be around your build, you might come back on to see it nothing but rubble, which would suck- and that's out of your control, because it's lightning. When Guude finally turned on firespread on the old map, lightning struck the Arena roof like the day he turned firespread on and because a lot of it was wood, a lot of it burned up, which really sucked for Bdoubleo because all of his (and Arkas' ) hard work had been destroyed and he wasn't even on part of the time.

Although, if we do prank things, firespread is super useful to have if the prank mostly consists of wool and would be a pain to take down otherwise o3o

Or just aesthetics Imo fireplaces look really great in houses. Most of the time when I build one I like to put one in the living room.

I'm in support of having a CS server, that'd be fun.(Even though I don't have minecraft pc yet).
If Chry does like the support, perhaps she can create topic about it and have pollls about these certain aspects. There are many ways that we could compromise so everyone has something that they want.
