Australian Shepherd Features

You might be asking, "Why do almost all of Australian Shepherds have their tails cut off? Well their tails are usually cropped because of 2 reasons.

. Aussies are herding dogs. Their tails are cropped (or cut off) so the animals don't step on the tails which could injure the Aussie.

. So the Aussie can be shown in shows

The males have more "feathering" or more fluff than the females do. You also might be wondering what an Aussie looks like and the colors. So here is a perfect example.

Hopefully this explains more of the looks of the Australian Shepherd, inside and out.
