To be honest, I always believed that, hypothetically, Star Trek and Star Wars could exist in the same Universe.
Star Trek is set in Earth's future, while the events of Star Wars occurred "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away."
Thus both stores could play out in the same plane, just many lightyears and centuries apart.

I may be overthinking this.
