Ok well what if the fighters had powers and instead of having so many different powers I choose powers for the specific sub-species:

Normal: Shadows
Water: Water
Flame: Fire (the color of their fire will be the same color(s) as the ones on their tail, ears, feet)
Winged: Air
Dragon(winged or not): earth/rock
Feline(thin tailed): Light

I dont know if we have any more kinds then that O.o

I'd switch Normal and Feline, as big cats usually stick to the shadows. Just my thoughts, though.

Well when I think felines I kinda figured they're very proud and elegant so I figured light ^^

I like light.. It makes sense... because NOT ALL big cats live in shadows =] Cheetahs hunt during the day, so do lions (At times) and Jaguars.. So xD and cougars im pretty sure
