My sister got SS a month or two before I was able to buy HG and usually she will get one version and I'll get the other that way we can trade game-exclusive pokemon. We did that with D/P/Pl and B/W as well.

I have SS. I like silver more than gold colour-wise, it wasn't really a must have this kind choice.
I really enjoyed that game, it was fun.

I bought SS because I prefer Lugia to Ho-oh. I bought the pack that had the figure and Pokewalker case too.
