Indeed, the other Grimdark fanfics I read are;
Cupcakes, Rocket to Insanity, Mirrors, Prince Charming, and maybe one more, but I don't remember at the moment. They did shock me a bit, but they didn't make me recoil back in my chair like yours did.
Maybe it's because I'm terrified of anything zombie-related, and the Groaners and Screamers got to me? xD

One more thing, about the White Fillies/Screamers, how exactly were you thinking they'd sound? I keep reading over the fanfic dialogue, but I still don't quite understand. :C Do I need to scream like someone's ripping my legs off? No pun intended.. xD

That sounds about accurate, their screams were of pain and horror, in backlash retaliation to what was happening to them ^_^

Also, Cupcakes was one of my inspirations for the story, if it wasn't obvious. I found it to be horribly out of character for Pinkie Pie, yet it obviously had a profound effect on the fanbase. So I set out with in my mind to not only out-do Cupcakes, but to show a proper way for how Cupcakes could get started.

So if you liked/disliked Cupcakes, I made a fic for both those X3

I didnt think it was that bad then i read the whole first one and it gave me goose-bumps i shut all my curtains and switched on all the lights, it helps when your home alone with her aswell ._.
