Yes it did, thank you so much, sorry about that. I have been going through it, not to mention I just had to teach a class.
This is going to sound horrible but we have a 15 year old in the class and she has a welsh pony... She is an unfortunate 120kg(264 lbs) and the pony has a lot of back issues.. how should I confront her about it?
Her mother is horrible to her and she has to pay for lessons, the pony and everything by herself... She is struggling to pay for him and my boss(the stable owner) is very lenient for her.

Maybe you could tell her she has moved up to a more leveled horse, or you could ask her just random questions, like a quiz, and ask her to check her horse for any painful spots.

Hmm good idea, she is very competetive..

123nutcase_horse❤er wrote:I would ask the girl if she is aware that she probably needs a bigger horse. You could suggest selling the pony to a loving home and using the money to lease a bigger horse? And, byhisgrace is accepted! Welcome to the guild!

Thank you ^^, she is looking at another horse but she is looking at a young horse. She said she may sell Razzy(the welsh pony) but there is no one that wants to buy him, he is starting to get swayback, I havnt seen a welshie with swayback before and I hope I never do.. Unfortunatly he is starting to get it.

Another question, I am looking for a well tempered horse, to do trail riding, ARC and a bit of pleasure/games with. Would anyone recommend a sound breed? I love Arabians, I owned 1 back in the past... he unfortunatly died from salmonella/partial colic.

I'd totally go for a gaited horse, Riddick. :3 TWH's are very comfy.

Hey, I'm new here, so...

My favourite breeds are between Friesians (there's one at the barn where I ride, he's so lovely) and Andalusians, although at my barn I love riding the Thoroughbreds and TB crosses. My favourite colour is dappled gray.

I don't compete anymore, but I used to show hunter/jumper and equitation. I still take lessons in these disciplines.
Closing up shop! :(
Wish I could stay but sadly don't have very much time anymore.
All my pets will be going to random people.

I have a TW mare named Salsa. She is the sweetest thing ever. My uncle trained her for me, and he got on her back, no saddle, no halter, no bridle, nothing for the first time while she was eating. She didn't even care at all. This was when she was 3 years. I personally think TWs have excellent temperments, I had another 18 year old one, and she would try her heart out. Other breeds that are good for that type of things are QHs PHs and Quarabs
There's something to be said for a place that hasn't had all the rough rode out of it.

Around here gaited horses are a big thing. We have Foxtrotters, TWHs, and more. :3 I've only ridden a TWH once, though, on a trail ride. The gaits were awesome. So much fun. <3

We really don't have any TWs around here except for my uncle and aunts. Well, we don't have any gaited horses around here except for my uncle and aunts. They have a TW breeding ranch. Thats how I got Salsa
