I've heard that there was some outrage at it's publication by some really religious people (I'm sorry if you're one of these people, I mean no offense...) because it got very...graphic... at times throughout the book. I found that out when I was looking into it to see if it was something I'd want to read. It wasn't the kind of book I'd be interested in myself though...

Yeah, just hearing some of the scenes my aunts were depicting, I marked it as a red X on my reading list

I try and avoid books like that but I’ve read a few books with that kind of ‘graphic’ theme, it wasn’t about romance though, the book was called ‘Living Dead Girl’ it was an amazing book but it did get graphic so I don’t mind graphic scenes just as long as the plot is good.

@Beastlyhobbit I read the Lord of The Rings when I was twelve or thirteen, it got a little confusing but the books were good!

Yeah, same here. If I like the plot and want to keep reading, I'll take the romance in some sort of stride but other times I'll toss the book in an incinerator and not look back

So I spent almost all of my fourth of July reading Dragonflight (A great book, by the way) and by 8:45 PM I had finally finished! It took me a while to get through this book, but well worth it! Great read, plus that means I finished 3 books this week, which matters only to me because of this summer reading thing my library does. XD Anyone else have a holiday read?

exactly Espeopnie XP me and you are twins did you know that?

@kimmy I’ve been reading all kinds of books, I generally take at least eight different books out of my library and I’ll read them all, lately I’ve been going back and found an old manga series that I loved so I’m re-reading that.

Our library does a summer reading program too! At the end, if your in the top...I don't remember how many people, you get to go to a waterpark! ;) I forgot that our library did it until it was too late to join...

Yes, but my library is pathetic. Last year, for every 1,000 pages you read, you got a free paperback book. That was the same as the year before it. Now all of a sudden, in 2012, they are no longer doing this. No. Now, for every 200 pages you read, you get a stinking raffle ticket for stupid prizes that only 7 year olds would enjoy. X( Except for one of them, which I entered; but didn't win. It was for a Hunger Games necklace. :) It was a beatuful shade of silver, and would've matched nearly every outfit I own. But I don't think I've won, since I didn't get a call from the library. X(
Anywho, I've read almost 2,000 pages so far, and would've read more, had I not had other obligations.
