I read Warriors. I liked the first series best, and hated the Power of Three. It's a cool concept, though. C:
And Twilight... *shudders* I loathed that series -but that's just my personal opinion. I read them all, because I don't like saying I hate something like a book series or a food without ever trying it. And, I haaaated them. I mean, sparkling vampires?

Anyone read The Kite Runner? One of my teachers recommended it to me.

I don't like Twilight, though I've read warriors..I haven't read the last two books out yet..I dunno, I semi-dropped the series, but have read everything else. I love those books, but I have many peeves, too..Such as waay to much forbidden love now. Firestar, in my opinion, in a gary-sue, and so is much of ThunderClan. But that doesn't mean I'm not a Warriors fan. c:

I'm looking for new fantasy series to try out. Or mysteries. Here are the books I've tried and not liked:
The Hobbit
Magyck
Bartemis Heap

And books I've tried and liked:
The Tales of the Frog Princess
Artemis Fowl
Lady Trent Mysteries
This Present Darkness
Twilight (the last two books I liked)
Harry Potter

So....any suggestions?

This one is a little hard to find as well as takes a couple chapters before it actually takes off but you could give the Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson a try :3 I found it to be an absolutely excellent series, the writing was fantastic and I found the plot quite fascinating (:
The first book in the trilogy is called Mistborn: The Final Empire

Another great one and one I personally enjoyed as kind of a "fluff" read (as in there wasn't anything useful I was getting out of it  ) is the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flammel series by Michael Scott (= It isn't finished yet but I enjoyed the first five books ^.^

Hmm. So you're into just that fantasy pieces? I recommend the Beka Cooper trilogy by Tamora Pierce. The writing is brilliant and wonderfully detailed.

Thank you both! I'll have to look into those. :)

I'm re-reading the series after dropping it a good 5 years ago. :)

What exactly is a gary-sue and mary-sue character? I've heard certain characters called that before, but I don't have a clue what it means. X(

My book from flamingnet.com just came! EEEP! It's called "The Poisons Of Caux (Book Three): The Shepherd Of Weeds". Anybody heard of it? Is it good? :)

"The game is
coming to its end."

"Our future starts
tomorrow at dawn."

"Snow has to pay
for what he's done."

"Our lives were
never ours. They
belong to Snow,
and our deaths
do too. But if you
kill him, if you
end all of this,
all those deaths
mean something."

"Tonight, turn your
weapons to the
Capitol! Turn your
weapons to Snow!"

Booklover-
Gary Sue is just the male version of Mary Sue, in other words, a fictional character that is perfect in every way, unrealistic. They have no flaws whatsoever, and are always correct, and are usually the main character. ^^

Ah! I've read about characters like that. :) Thanks for the info.

Also, just got my book from flamingnet.com today. :) "Torn" by Amanda Hocking. I'm usually not a fan of her writing, but this one is pretty good so far.
