Hmm... I'm in desperate need of a new book -or series, the latter being even better! I'm finding myself re-reading the same things over, and over, and over, and I have to admit... It's getting a tad boring. D: I miss the sensation of reading an exciting new novel, staying up until the wee hours of the morning, losing myself in the story, crying when characters die... As much as I love re-reading, it just isn't the same the second(or 3rd, or 4th, or 5th, etc.) time around.

Soooo... Any suggestions? Recommendations? I'm a big Harry Potter fan. I love Phillip Pullman's works, Kenneth Oppel, Catherine Fisher, Paolini, fantasy stuffs.

Oh, I read Divergent a a little while ago. I liked the book -but not immensely. Some things just seemed a bit, well, staged, if you know what I mean. And predictable. Anyone else read it? What are your takes?

Well, I have many suggestions. Have you read anything by Tamora Pierce? It's all great fantasy.

I'm going to second this and add that if you haven't, you really should. She's a great author. I'd recommend Terrier if you're looking for something a little bit more mature, and Wild Magic or The First Adventure if you just want kickass fantasy.

I loved Terrier, Bloodhound, and I'm currently reading Mastiff. I also read the Wild Magic series and The First Adventure, but I need to read the last book of both series.

I love her books even though I've read only the the books I own, which adds up to something like five or six.

Yep. I've got a ton more, but give those a shot. They're all for someone who loves fantasy, except for "Hero". That's just a good book that I would recommend to ANYONE.
"The Buried Covenant" is sorta-kinda fantasy. It's more of an adventure book, though.

No, the first book in the series is "Tomorrow, when the war began." They are kind of old and small and don't have the most amazing writing but the plot is magnificent.
