Anyone ever read Howl's Moving Castle? There's a movie inspired by it though the book is way better. It's one of those where the book and movie are really different but not in a bad way. How to Train Your Dragon is the same way, except for some of the names you'd hardly even recognize them as the same.

Gaston Leroux. It's a good book - I'm thinking about watching the movie. Is it any good?

I really quite liked the movie. Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum were the Phantom and Christine. I loved both of them! X)
However, it is a musical. So, if you don't like musicals...you may not like it.

Thanks for the author. I will have to check it out from my library when I go next. :)

Top Ten Favorite Books:
1. Harry Potter - All Series
2. The Hunger Games - All Series (but mostly the first one!)
3. Great Expectations
4. The Chronicles of Narnia - Every book
5. Girl, Missing
6. Little Dorrit
7. Artemis Fowl - all series
8. Percy Jackson
9. Inkheart/Inkspell/Inkdeath
10. Lord of the Rings
11. Daughter of Fire and Ice (not a very well known one, but I enjoyed it nevertheless!)
12. The Dark Is Rising Sequence
13. His Dark Materials - all books in the collection.
(I couldn't help going over 10. It's so hard to narrow it down! These aren't really in order, by the way.)
Average amount of time it takes you to finish a book: It can vary between a day and two-ish weeks. Usually about 3/4 days, 5 tops.
How many of the above symptoms you regularly experience: ...All of them...Especially the 'throw the book at the wall because you hate how it ended' one. Many, many times. Poor wall.

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Don't you dare look out your window, darling
Everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby
Even when the music's gone

Welcome! I really LOVED Artemis Fowl, and I'm currently reading book 5 in the series. Well, I will be, when I finish the book that came in the mail today. X)

No, I didn't cry. (which is weird for me)

Just finished reading chapter 1 of "Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony" (book 5). :)

OMG I cried when Julius Root Died. It was so sad!

So...I'm alone in the fact that I did NOT cry when he died?
I generally don't cry when people/characters die in books. Does anyone else not cry?
Also, have you read the entire series? X)

I never seem to cry in books. I don't remember- I might never have. I've only once cried in a movie (17 miracles- anyone seen it? The ending was... well, enough to make a person who almost never cries, cry... :') )

Which of her other books would suggest? I want to read more by her but I'm not sure which one to get from my lovely friend the library. Howl's Moving Castle is totally epic. I've read twice since I got it from the library and I'm working on read number three. Sophie is awesome. And I love how the chapters are titled. Like this: Chapter 5, Which is far too full of washing XD

I was wondering, are the Lord of the Rings movies as good as the books?

There are companions to that book. The first one is Castle in the Sky, and the second is House of Many Ways.
