Makes more sense. I don't think that any type of fantasy is down-to-earth. But as I have said before, and on the role-play, Game of Thrones beats all.

I probably won't ever get around to reading Dragonsong, in any case. Mostly because I have a ton of other things to read for my AP English class. My English teacher is hopelessly in love with John Steinbeck.

My mom is making me read the Giver. Better then I thought, but I' still prefer my books. :)

Yeah, no kidding. The Giver is okay, but there are a ton of other pseudoutopian books out there that make for a more interesting read. Take the Hunger Games- that book series is excellent, and it really shows you something about human nature. Why can't we read stuff like that in English class?

Yikes. Heard about it, but I haven't read it. Have you guys read a book called Unwind? There's another really good pseudoutopia, right there. Haunting, that's the word for it.

Nope. But yeah, Gilly Hopkins was horrible. My mom made us read it. At the end, when she finally stops being a brat and learns to like her foster family *SPOILOR* she is sent to live with her grandmother*SPOILOR*
