Well I'm back after two weeks in Scotland - I read a lot because I got to stay at the cottage every other day! I even read Alien by Alan Dean Foster, I haven't seen and don't plan to see the film. But wow, the book was awesome. Great use of words and easy wording. It's an adult novel of course, but the style reminds me of Jurassic Park, so it was really enjoyable. But I'm still trying to figure out why they had a Cat on-board...
I love historical fiction as well! I would recommend Boudica by Manda Scott, title says it all!XD It's a series of four books, but because it's an adult series I tend to get bored and I keep on delaying my finishing of it. I actually got confused as to why they were attacking a place because I hadn't read it in ages!
I also read The Lost World and not only is it really different from the film but I didn't find myself yawning! It did take half the book to get going, but once they were in Maple White Land it was great!
