Guys, I need advice~! :D
I don't have enough money or time to do one of my usual flamboyant Halloween costumes, so I am seriously considering cosplaying either John or Karkat for Halloween. I know I can pull both of them off, wouldn't have to buy a wig... I'm short enough to make a passable Karkat and derpy enough for John, so yeah. |D

The thing is, I don't know which one to go as! Karkat would be fun, but I don't know if I want to mess with all of that gray makeup... Especially because no one around here has any idea what Homestuck is, and it would be a lot of work for little pay off. And I'd be the girliest Karkat ever. But sewing John's god-tier hood would also take a long time, so bluh! I'd be willing to do it~ But I just don't know which one to choose. :c Personality wise, I'd make a much better John...

So vote! I might even end up posting the pictures somewhere. :D Probably not here, because that's against the rules, but they wouldn't be hard to find!

I must say I'm all for Karkat because I'd love to see a Karkat cosplay but there are them darn horns to think about . . . no matter how nubby they are ;D

The horns would actually be pretty easy! I'm used to making props and stuff, so it would just take some paper-mâché and... A styrofoam skeleton? Then attach them to hair clips, because with how tiny they are, they wouldn't fall off. |D

Some kind of clay would also work for the horns, as I myself have cosplayed a Goatbutler from Umineko no Naku Koro Ni and I made the horns from clay (I think XD) and painted them, and they turned out neat. It probably works best with small horns such as Karkat's, I got headache from the large and heavy horns attached to a headband. x__x Though the headache could probably have been avoided if I had attached the headband more securely and tightly using hairpins or something.
