i know little to nothing about FR, so far i just earn treasure from the fairgrounds and then trade it for CS pets or items. I know nothing about breeding dragons or what most of the items even do. (like the food) i still only have my starter dragons and a few babies. im not sure what to do to get my babies to grow or how to find other dragons to bring home/adopt

here are some answers to what you mentioned here, but feel free to message me anytime if you have questions!

To breed dragons they must be old enough (rarer breeds have longer cooldowns) and they cannot be related to each other within like, 5 generations, you can check that in the scrying workshop. Ancient breeds can only breed to their own breed because of the differing genes they can have.

Most items don't do anything. Apparel can be put onto modern breeds from the Customize button on their pages. Food must be converted to your stores to feed your dragons, this is done from the hoard. Materials and trinkets are mostly for Baldwin, Swipp, and unlocking hibernal den slots. Trinkets that have a tiny chest icon in the corner of their image can be opened.

Baby dragons grow automatically at 6 days old, there's nothing you need to do! There is a scroll in the Gem shop that can make them grow immediately, but it's not really worth it imo.

You can buy dragons from the Auction House, in the Dragons tab. From there you can set parameters to narrow the search, like making sure they're within your budget. You can also go to the Dragon Sales forum and look at player hatcheries.
